I think it is a good choice for a DD and something totally different from your other cars.
I just think that you will not keep it too long 😉

The more I look at your car Vic, the more I want one... But at £250k minimum that is serious cash! Does it have back seats?

I needed another daily style GT cruiser with some good luxury inside so I had been testing out the Bentley GT3R. I found it rather right for MY needs at the time and the price I got was incredible so I pulled the proverbial trigger. I already have the super car with the Huracan and a great cross blend of a GT and sports car with the GTS and will be getting a new R8 soon so this was what I needed. That car thas has daily in it yet with some wildness too.

Yes it weighs about 5k lbs but it feels and drives much better. Its got AWD and closer gear ratios than its cousin the GT Speed so it pulls strong dig romps to 60 (around 3.4 seconds) and still traps well in the quarter. C&D has it at 122 mph in the quarter but I think its closer to 120.xx. Either way its just right as my next car and once I tune it things will occur even more rapidly. While it may drive better than its 5k lb weight it still is a fatty but on the highways and toll roads it really moves. I found myself getting to 130 plus mph very quickly and the ZF8 tranny is the best tq converting tranny IMHO out there.

The car itself is loaded with carbon fiber: rear diffuser, rear wing, side skirts, side mirrors, bonnet vents, front lip, carbon engine cover, and the entire interior is loaded with leather, alcantara, and carbon fiber. Its a cool fun car. The exhaust is Akrapovic for Bentley and really has a great note along with those barks and pops during over runs. The front discs are 16.5 inches but still look small against the 21 inch OEM wheels.

Ill post some cell pics now and then will add more pics once I put nicer set of wheels on it. I like this set but I think a forged 22 inch variant might do the car better. My apologies for the lighting but it was an impromptu shot just now with the Samsung.

And Motortrend Vid

Congratulations! That looks beastly!

Did you get the wrap from Don? That looks like his shop in the background.

Btw, you don't waste any time with the mods, do you?

Yep he wrapped my reflectors like he does all my cars (15 or so in the last 7 years). Ive been using him since 2009 when he did work on my GTR like roof wraps, plasti dip badges, wing wraps, reflectors, etc.

Yo Vic~

This thread brought me out of dormancy LOL. This is the quintessential DD: a perfect confluence of prestige, luxury, and sport. Plus, in SoCal where Bentley's are seemingly as prevalent as Camry's, this thing has distinction and domain - nobody has this car. Nice one.

The only two things I don't like is the HUGE premium over the Speed, and I personally would've preferred a hotter version of the TT v12. At 5k pounds, I'd take the heavier, beefier, throatier, and more powerful engine. Of course I understand why the 4.0 TT was used, but this car is already nonsensical so give me the V12.

I'm surprised nobody has asked about the parallel to the RS7, since it essentially has the same drivetrain?

Nice - the GT3R has some serious pedigree - developed by in partnership with M Sport (known largely for WRC), but with a team headed up by the top man who headed up Bentley winning Le Mans outright in 2003 - whereas Ferrari last won it in 1965

I agree on all points thus my reason for acquiring it... as for the premium, that's only the msrp which some may pay but I surely did not come remotely close to the 341k price tag = no fucking way with this car. And yes its the Audi TFSI 4.0 RS7 engine block and then the tweaks begin from there with more boost and other internal mods. I always felt my RS7 engine sounded rather brilliant and this matches it up and beyond with the Akrapovic OEM exhaust. I borrowed a Speed for a week and its not the same car, to me, at all. Its slower, less aggressive in note and just a more luxurious pig than even my fatty Im also glad the strong ZF8 is with this car so when I bump that tq and hp with the tune, it will be able to handle it. Arguably and yes its early on, this car looks better than my FF which was an even more acquired taste. I will absolutely miss that v12 symphony though.
