Should I Be Concerned?

My delivery date is Oct 7th 0900 pick up time. My car has not yet began production. I called the number that was posted by another member and it says "your vehicle is scheduled for production with no confirmed production date yet".

should I be worried?

You'll be fine. Usually they will start production ~2 weeks before you take delivery (Individual orders (paint/interior) will start sooner due to special production requirements.
Nothing to worry for you , BMW has done this a few times before

No not at all. I have an October 12 date and my car is scheduled for production starting September 30th. So it will be fresh!

I received good news today =). The cars @ the body shop and should be done with production on the 19th!!!!!!

I picked up on October 5th last year. They didn't go into production until the week before.

Don't worry, they'll be ready for you.

I think I got it. My first choice, but that was a year ago when we were fighting for slots, and I took a standard. You can go a lot of ways with the interior on that one.

I'm not trying to rain on your parade Spinny02, but I don't think they are going to meet the 7 October delivery date.

If your car was finished with production on Thursday the 19th September, it will take a couple of days to get transported to the port of exit and loaded onto a ship.

Realistically I don't see this happening until Wednesday the 25th of September at the earliest.

Then there is the ~2 week boat ride.

The Torino left Bremerhaven on Wednesday the 18th of September and is scheduled to arrive in Baltimore on the 3rd of October (unfortunately your car is not on this ship).

Factor in VPC and dealer prep time.............. You may want to mentally prep for a later delivery date. Good luck!
