The range and the ventilation pages are just static images. I am not sure if the display keys the group buy got are functional or not in the US without 2G support.

I would rather get two of those “triangle” sporty keys vs the display key.

Congrats to making it work, looks really nice 👍🏻 as you said, it's a regular key in a display key shell. The display keys Competition C and I offer, will offer more functions, as stated in some posts before. Your display key clone is unbeatable price wise, but it's just a regular key in a sense. Also, our display keys can be offered with or without BMW M logo.
Shipping is the major issue lately, Competition C is waiting for his shipment and I'm also waiting for more keys and equipment!
We will keep everyone posted, it's a matter of days now

Our display keys will offer car information as described, but cannot activate ventilation like the OEM display key. All functions described and shown on my Instagram however, work without any 2G support. The slot is just necessary to upgrade to remote start function, which is utterly expensive and requires one original key to stay in the car at all times.
My touch display is fully functional and reveals sub menus while touching certain categories, they are not just static images!
After purchasing and testing several display keys, this one is the closest to the OEM display key, therefore I started to offer it here.

I have a cheap "relatively" $500 tool called the Yanhua ACDP that I bought to clone my CAS module for a CA retrofit. To have my CAS cloned by a BMW locksmith it was about $300 and then another $100 for a spare key since my car only came with one. It made sense for me to buy the tool for my needs and then probably sell it to come out ahead.

I also bought the key unlocker add on so I can code used keys to my car. Tonight I got this used key for $10 and then coded it to my car.

I coded my keys through the OBD port. It took all of two minutes using the IOS app. The key unlocker and the CAS cloning I did with the CAS out of the car.

No need to clone it just to get this key to work, right?

To program any new key you just hit the add key button and it takes about two minutes. I am retrofitting comfort access to my car so I needed a new CAS module with CA support.

I am looking forward to hearing reports about the quality of these group buy keys.

Any chance you’re open to renting the unit out?

The people needing programming in this thread alone would pay for your equipment costs entirely.

I wouldn't be against the idea. You would only need the main tool that plugs into the OBD port, wifi, some sort of smart phone and my account information with the licenses. Send me a PM.

@CompetitionC @SCD-1983 how's the shipping tracking for that key coming along. I may have a way to get the programming done myself so I may just need the key shipped to me without having to use CompetitionC's services.

Hey everyone! The keys are still in transit, COVID-19
increased the shipping volume due to online orders and delayed the DHL package. It's tracked, insured and Premium postage, should take up to 14 working days, so almost 3 weeks. If it doesn't arrive tomorrow at Competition C's place, I will file a written complaint!

Here's the tracking progress, still in transit:

Quick update: I filed a written complaint with DHL and the customer service tracked down the priority package to expedite the shipping. It worked out, it's on the plane from Frankfurt to the US now, then will be handed over to USPS for final delivery.
Thanks everyone for being patient, shipping is a strenuous process these days 😢

I called DHL 2 days ago and filed a second written complaint, the package is stuck in transit from Frankfurt airport to the US. USPS announced the package on their website, but no update since. You and 1 other customer already paid for the display key in advance and I booked priority and premium shipping, insured and tracked.
If you and the other customer want a refund, I will honor this request, despite not being responsible for the delay myself.
I apologize again for the unbearable waiting time, DHL is not very helpful and if this package is lost, I will lose a lot of more money!

Here's a screenshot of the USPS website:
