I’m hoping there can be a system that fits the stock intake set up. As I am planning to get a closed intake set up like AP or armaspeed.

I hope there is some way the bms kit fits, any suggestions where the tanks could be mounted?

I am going to try to dig around the engine compartment this weekend to see if there is a good spot to place them. Not sure if placing them near the bottom of the car would be an issue. It is a short hose now and not sure if adding more hose to this closed circuit would cause any issues but thinking if I get them low then the oil would be more inclined to drain back into the catch can rather than be carried through it by the pressure. I do my own oil changes, so I could just use a petcock valve to drain off the oil in the can during changes.

This guys put in a catch can with stock intakes.

I am really looking to do a catch can set up my self because $400 for the kits seems crazy for a couple of cans and hose.

I will be tackling this issue this weekend on my car. I bought 2 $25 oil catch cans for this, link below. I'm not saying any names, but if you look at the cans I bought and some of the "kits" being sold by some companies. It seems it is the same exact can, almost same pictures even used as the amazon listing. Just rebranded with some heater hoses included and a $400 price slapped on it. This is easily DIY able, especially with the video provided up top. I will be making a video of my install as well. The only thing i am noticing on these cans is the lack of a micron filter, and they're a bit small. I will see how they do after a few weeks, if i upgrade will be for bigger in size, and for cans with micron filters. These devices are not some out of this world design by NASA and very straight forward, as long as it is sealed just like the factory system and not the vented ones we see on some imports, it should work just fine. I will update once mines is on.

Taking care of some other things first on the car. I do have the cans on hand, and was trying them out in different locations around the engine bay, looking for a good spot to mount them. Space is the biggest issue, also looking to do some nice AN fittings/piping so taking my time a bit on this one. Inspected my intakes and blowby is minimal thankfully, I will update once I move on this.

Same. I’ve been running the BMS cans for a year and they’re completely dry.

These cars have a horrible pcv design. Allow a lot of oil blow by in the intake

I am honestly not seeing the need to either. Ever since i changed my oil weight my smoking is pretty much none existent. I will be changing my filters soon and taking a look at my intake tubes and charge pipes see how they look inside. I recently installed some Gamma turbo cooling lines so took off one charge cooler coupler, and there was very minimal oil residue in the charge cooler.

Honestly looks like with regular maintenance and cleaning of the PCV parts, catch cans might ultimately not be needed. I was under the impression that i would have ton of oil based on the smoking and to my surprise it is gone and not much residue.

Honestly catch can size could cause this. It is my understanding that the PCV system in these cars is under positive pressure. So if the cans are undersized, and it is indeed catching some oil, it could possibly be sucking the oil back into the intake defeating the purpose of the catch cans. Don't quote me on this though as my data is not 100% haha.

Which pipe? You mean for adding the Catch piping to the stock PCV? You either have to work it on with some kind of barb adapter and hose clamps. The "official kits" have gotten a replica CNC machined part to NPT adapter made which makes it easier, and with capability to run better piping like AN fittings. If i get around to it i will see how easy it is to get one of these made, i also found a couple pre machined fittings on ebay that i was going to test to eliminate having something CNC'd. Basically gotta get creative, or spend $400+ for someone to do the legwork on a kit.
