V-Power '99' or Momentum 99

Until a Costco fuel station is built at my local Costco branch I only use these two fuels.Bp and Esso and Texaco only offer 97 ron in their premium fuels so are no good to me and other strange named stations I don't bother with.
It's been said that v power has so much detergents in it that all your getting is 98 ron so I've been using momentum with added red ex every second tank and it felt good when I switched from Shell. The CEL came on as soon as I put in momentum but promptly went out,the ecu no doubt getting used to the new nitro
What do you guys use keeping in mind these motors need MINIMUM 98ron.

Red Ex is a fuel additive, red in colour that I add with every second fill up.Cleans off the carbon in the combustion chambers and valves with protection for your fuel system, the makers also claim it keeps emissions down.

Found out there are only THREE premium fuels in UK that are rated at 99 RON.
Tesco Momentum 99, V-Power 99 (or so they say but why isn't the RON content on pump?) and Costco 99.Unfortunately the nearest Costco fuel is too far from me at Thurrock..know it's from Mobil and good stuff.

You'll only clean the head of the valves if it even does that.

This additive has been around a long time improved and concentrated over the years,a lot of people swear by it and it's a top seller.

Still wont clean your valve stems or ports as it's a direct injection engine. Redex is an old wives tale that may have worked back in the day.

Me too, Tesco momentum is not available in my area but wouldn't use it anyway. Its just their garbage supermarket fuel with additives.

Tesco, Shell etc all fill from the same fuel source in the refineries, not sure what is added after this though.

I always use Tesco Momentum... Car seems better on fuel with it too.
V power isn't a bad 2nd place for me.
Never tried the CostCo.

With what has been discovered that v power and momentum are from the same 'tub' then some peoples negativity to momentum fuel would appear strange.
I would try Costco but just not near enough.

I've heard people say that most oils are from the same "tub" aswell but I don't believe that either.

Fuel additives come and go but Redex has been around since the sixties I've read and still going strong, it's the biggest seller not just to the golden oldies. You must have read what hydro-lock in an injector can do to an M5 engine...

I put a similar injector cleaner in my wifes 320i that was running a bit lumpy and seemed down on power, runs perfect now.
