Nope, it was the Basil Haydens Two by Two Rye. I have and like them both, but prefer the Two by Two.

I'm going to do all you bourbon whiskey lovers here a HUGE FAVOR.

I was to the liquor store a few weeks ago looking to pick up a bottle of bourbon.
I was about to buy some Knob Creek or Woodford Reserve when the manager there came and told me about this whiskey.
He said it was really good and I should give it a try.

It was $30 for 750ml.

IT SUCKED!!!! Harsh, no depth, and not deserving of being labeled a "bourbon"

I had something similar happen to me with some rum once. I called the manager and told him about it. They offered me 25% off my next purchase. I'd suggest you do the same.

Here is a quick pic of my current lineup of scotch. Just finished my highland 12, will definitely get it again. Bottle on far right was $20 and actually not bad.. to sweet to be considered a good scotch but for $20 I've had much worse.

We should really have a cigar thread to go along with this one too...

Nothing from Islay? At least try a Bunnahabain, or go big and get some Laphroaig (Quarter Cask), or Lagavulin 16yo.

I am not a fan of the peat/smoke taste, which I think these have based on a quick bing.

Lousy week at work as well as my retirement account getting hammered in the market has me drinking Gentleman Jack from a fishbowl glass. Just have to make it through one more day.
