Pan Turbo cost significantly more than the cars in this comp.

Fair race IMO. M5 is crazy fast.

Not that looks areeverything, but the Porsche and Jag are way too ugly IMO. I don't care what the performance is. If you are buying a performance sedan like that, looks have to play a small role.

Good win for the BMW.

I would get an M5 in this group without a doubt. Even though I wish its interior was a bit more special then a regular 5 series. The Porsche Panamera Turbo S is too expensive and the exterior is nothing to brag about.

Check the EVO track lap times, Panamera Turbo is almost a second behind the M5... It would be nice to have had it for the comparo though to have the same test conditions...

The Autozeitung lap times have the Panny Turbo S at 1:16.0, the M5 at 1:16.8 and the E63 PP at 1:17.0.

If the Panny Turbo S with AWD can't beat the M5 around a track, then what the heck are you paying the extra $70K for??

The handling and ride are still both better on the m5, so it's not all bad :-)

You pay for the Porsche logo, even though some can argue the Panamera (and Cayenne) is not a "true Porsche" for it is too heavy...

About lap times, I guess what car is faster depends on the race track. The more important factors since all the cars are so close, is the "feel" they give when driven. According to Evo, The Panamera is beaten by the M5

By the way, is .8 seconds a lap faster worth $70K more??
