Hang onto it if you do... I tried to buy a used one offered seller 155 (mSRP+ options was like 145) then I offered 160... He wanted 175 or something lol I said no thanks a used one wasn't worth almost 40k more than MSRP, but they're holding and probably will rise like the other GT3s.

The back of the 430s still look insane to me personally, but the fronts I say have a dated look.

Wrong on the 2014's which have a strong chance to lose a significant proportion of their MSRP when they hit the used market because of the replacement engine issue. Many owners are considering selling the car back to Porsche and are turning down their allocations on built cars whilst waiting on a 2015.

I could see how people spending that much would be uneasy about it, but why would it hurt the long term value of the car especially if these kinks are worked out, and the media hype around it dies down in a few years?

Granted I still see people asking about HPFP on the 335i forums so I'm sure 10 years later someone buying used will be like "Should I worry about my engine catching on fire" even if the issues been long resolved.

I think they will hold ......people said the same when the M5 was launched production was stopped, and all the oil pumps had to be swapped out due to a defect. People were screaming they didn't want their allocations, and no resale hit occurred. Easy fix swap the engine, and you have a new car no big deal shit happens it's a car. Hell humans have replacement organs and we expect a car to be perfect. Just my two cents.

Yeah if I can't get MSRP they can keep it. Principal I don't pay more for a depreciating asset that loses value once you drive it home. Always something to buy is my attitude.

I think the Lamborghini sales guy hit it on the head- "You are going to own all of them. It's just a matter of in what order."

Oh the wisdom you find in strange places-lol!

An oil pump replacement is not a complete engine swap, especially when that occurs at the local dealership and not at the factory. Regardless I'm just repeating what many owners are talking about on Rennlist re: their plans for refusing the car/asking for the already purchased car to be bought back by Porsche, etc. We could well see many more 'used' 2014 GT3s hit the used car market in the next few months, whereas normally one would expect the supply of lightly used 991 GT3s to be incredible low without this issue. One good side effect is that all of the asshats who bought the car to flip it immediately for profit have been caught with their pants down; serves them right imho.

I hear you I think it's all just talk for now. People get pissy when they have to wait. The M5 owners all said the same, and once the cars were repiared at the dealer they were all fine. Remeber that issues drove full engine shut down, and replacement. I rather get a new engine vs. a few parts here and there, and not know if you're impacted? I would take a slot now, and not worry. Porsche customer service is top in the industry see JD Power. I met their consulting group, and they sell consulting services to large companies on service/process improvements.

No argument there... Having to wait on this m4 is killing me... I don't know that I could wait a year plus.

A bunch of us did Euro Delivery which I think is the best way to receive a car fun experience. Also saved me close to 10k on my M5, and 4 fun days in Germany.

What was the cost of the fun days though I feel like I'd spend more eating out and living it up over there erasing the savings.

Depends on what you want to do. Munich is a interesting city, and can site see walking around is easy. Also the BMW facility "Welt" was a great experince to pick up your car very cool (free) Took a nice drive down to Austria for dinner it's all about the experience.
