Klassen is a local company in the OC doing national retail distribution and Asian sales as well- they have been around for quite some time and use the same forger as Vorsteiner (if I didn't mention it). So far I've had 3 sets (2 on the R8 and one on the SL) with great results and looks.

I had a long night out here so Im gonna chill locally and then get ready for the Kings match and the Heat Spurs game.

wow. nice car sir!
I'm falling in love with your garage
I test drove the SL before getting my final decision and then went for M6.
I love the handling of SL, but it didn't work for me because I needed more than 2 seats. How do you compare SL to M6?

Thanks brother.... both cars have their (stock advantages). My SL is tuned now and would have beat the M6. I liked the M6 for its tranny and high speed rolling prowess. It was a puller in stock setup and the chassis feedback and response was better than my F10 M5 (I had them concurrently for about 5 months). The steering on the M6 is slightly numb and there is some understeer in heavier bends vs the SL. The SL holds the sound title no doubt with the M157 engine just making a symphony. I subsequently pulled the resonators off and the car is at least 25% louder = perfection. Stock vs stock from a dig would be tough call and up to about 125 mph as well but after that the M6 would be the faster car slightly. The lack of parasitic loss in the tranny helps along with its faster shift points. I think handling is shocking here; I find there to be less roll and yaw with the SL but I also opted for the "above and beyond" optional AMG performance suspension which makes it very stiff and hard (my gf loves this LOL). In the same turns at relatively the same speed the SL would not have the body lean the M6 had but I didn't own the cars together for a long time (maybe 2 months).

I love the ability the have a hard top- I get the structural rigidity to hold the chassis in line yet the option to see the sun in all its glory. This is my first vert so its a slight bit special to me. The car tuned has about 600 whp and 660 wtq so it moves. The tune pulls the mushy throttle out of the pedal and makes the tranny (MCT) come more alive. It probably traps close to 127 in the quarter now. Mag tests have had this car running rather neck and neck with the M6 in controlled environments and I'd echo those numbers with my ownership thoughts. They both look brilliant too IMHO and interior choice would lean slightly to the Benz with its seats and steering wheel in alcantara. I know everyone hates the Comand over the BMW Nav and while I agree the BMW is better I don't really care too much about the Nav as long as it gets to me where I need to go and I can read the screen. In the SL the screen is very close to you so the diameter is not such a big deal. The Comand is archaic though in its substance and this is changing next year I believe. But the seats with the dynamic bolstering as you turn is awesome and the steering is very very good, almost as good as my 991's.

I do think Ill keep this car longer than I kept my M6.

Look at this carbon fiber trunk on the SL (stock)

Hello Vic

Have you tuned your 4s. Ironically I had the turbo 991 for 7 months and let my friend talk me into selling it to him. Power was exactly what I was looking for. Scared me multiple times driving it. Regret selling it.

Now that the gts with the Power pack came out I jumped on that. Few weeks ago got the 4s gts manual. Fun to drive but not Impressed with the torque or Power. Any recommendations for tuning. I don't want to be bummed on the car and missing the turbo.

Wow this was an older thread

I only had my C4S from July to Jan of 2014 and did a German Motoring Tune (they are in FL)... very small gains via the obdII (claimed 15hp) but its a normally aspirated car so the expectations were limited. The tune also incorporated more aggressive electronics with the PDK and that I could tell improved. I used GM because they sent me obdII uploaders on my R8 V10 for the transmission and those tunes worked great (I did version 1 and 2). Im not sure what tunes are out there for the GTS though.
