Agree,
Lack of taste exudes from the interior !
Same problem with GTR which is a lot more expensive and it is not American!

I would challenge you to sit in a C7 and an e92 M3 or new 335 (M4 will be essentially the same in terms of interior quality) and point out the design and or materials that are superior in the BMW. The C7 interior is on par with any 3 series.

The M5 and M6 have superior interior quality…. nothings for free.

The money in the C7 is spent on a dry sump, aluminum frame, magnesium seat frame, carbon fiber hood etc etc. Performance bits. You end up with a 3 series level interior but wicked performance.

The C7 and M5 are both fine wines, just different varieties.

Well said
Fine wines but one is offered in a chain restaurant and the other in upscale one - may taste the same but not as much fun if that makes any sense -

I wonder how the dealers will be on pricing... I was at two different Chevy stores the other day and both had C7 Vert and one store was asking 30k over (yes WTF) and the other was asking 10k.

Now I get it, these are asking prices but come on man that's a lot for air LOL.

For me those over the top prices from those assholes they can keep it. But I would pay a reasonable price but not give money away just for the sake of ownership. Not worth it IMO

Not especially after all the recall bullshit they're going through right now.

Well pretend BMW… and every other manufacturer for that matter, hasn't been similarly affected.

Hang tight... Not to the degree that of what GM was just caught and proven to be doing for 11 years!
Yes, EVERY manufacturer in every industry has recalls. But what's going on with GM is unprecedented.

What the government is doing to GM is unprecedented.

Granted, GM was horribly, horribly run prior to the bankruptcy. The quality of their products was abysmal. Oversight/Punishment is warranted and necessary in the case.

But GM hasn't done anything unusual. In general businesses lack morals. They generally get away with what they think they can.

I'm not talking about asking M5/6 owners to park their cars because the oil pumps didn't work. You are aware that BMW provided manufacturing and engineering support to the Nazi Regime? I have a German friend who drives a Jeep Cherokee for that reason.

Jeep Cherokee co-developed with Mercedes! They were active in the Nazi regime.

Thanks for getting us back on topic.

The two cars are very, very close in terms of p:w.

The C7 is a little easier to launch, the F10 has a much more advanced transmission.

Both stock I think it's drivers race. The challenge will be finding a stock C7 lol.

The interesting thing is that the best thing about the C7 isn't the motor, it's the chassis. It's not really a straight line car anymore.

Agree.

BTW, I am not going to start any comparison between C7 and 911
