Thanks bro, Well done Jag, Now that's super car for 50% discount and with almost super car numbers as these seem to have changed lately - it is really exotic ! I personally would take it over Porsche as it looks a lot more unique and exotic !! But that's me -
Its definitely a good first run at Porsche but taking it over the Icon is more of a stretch. But then I have the Turbo S which is in a different realm of pricing and performance. I really like the looks and then the performance to match is a win. And there are simple bolt on mods that take 1 hour to do and baaaaaam 90 more rwhp.

Vic I was comparing to M5/M6. I was saying the heavier car with the same amount of power/torque must have better traction (In theory )

oh ha I see said the blind man

I wonder how the active electronic diff works on the Jag vs the M's? The lockup may be different and the electronics may be more aggressive to help with the launches.

Or maybe it's about the faster reaction (electronically). This review says the ECU calculates 500 times per second to correct the stability which is extremely fast.. (6:25)

Too funny..our tastes are so very similar. I have secretly admired these dang things from afar.

Sound and styling are superb. Performance seems very good (observation without seat time). Overall, a very sexy car but maybe more suited for the wife.

Cool, yet if I were going for another racy two-seater in this range I would likely just get the Z06/7.

Yep that's why I mentioned the electronics part... you should drive one and compare since you have the F13 now and I don't have the car anymore. Id like to hear your thoughts.

All I know is I got back in this car and this car felt faster LOL

Is the one you tested in Anaheim? I would like to go and test the car sometime this week... I think we don't have any Jaguar dealer in Irvine

I have an affinity to white with a touch of red (Porsche) and black (C63). Ill do a writeup on this car soon as I want to give it some time so I can be as objective as possible:

So in a nutshell it feels faster than M5?
It has ZF tranny, How'd you like it?
It had the wide shift knob?
I has been growing on me overall except the Shift Knob and the Rear. .. But definitely a nice competitor to M5 that stole some BMW purists' hearts!! AWD is key

Ill be brief since this is the Jag thread but yes it feels faster up to 120 mph... I haven't raced any F10's yet. From a dig its scary fast for the size of this car. As for the shift knob I didn't even notice so I went and checked it right now LOL. Its about the size of a racquet ball I guess or smaller. I don't really care about that as I just put it in Drive Sport and then I don't use the lever further until I park.

The ZF 8 speed is great- its really hard to tell that its a traditional tq converter tranny. The shifts are smooth and very fast and the TCU keeps the car in gear I need perfectly as I enter and exit turns.

More to come on this car. Im enjoying it though.

Looks very clean in white with gloss black accents/roof (and slight preview of rear lip spoiler? + looks like HUD)

Looking forward to your review.

if it's the same ZF8 BMW has (ZF8HP70 which is rated to 700 NM) it's so fast but not as fast as DCT. I experienced this tranny when I had my 650i. the gear changing is as fast as 200 msec and as you said veryyyyyyyy smooth.

I love it when you refer to the thread as the "Jag thread" in a BMW forum while owning an AUDI RS7. .. LOL ... just funny ... but exactly why I love this forum again -

Good eye- I added a small lip spoiler to change the rear dynamics just a bit and yes indeed HUD. Its not the same glowing colorful HUD that the M's have but it serves its purpose.

Thank you for the link. I do believe Audi used this vs their DSG for the very reason you mentioned: tq limitations or lack thereof.

Yes lets run soon. Ill be out of town this week but back Saturday. Maybe a nice Mexican toll road run? LOL.

Vic you kinda triggered me to test drive the car lol
So I went to the dealer you addressed in Newport. First impression was the moment I started the car... loud exhaust sound however I didn't like the tone since I love AMG sound (and this is just preference). Cabin is small but interior is gorgeous and has nice leather. I liked it's sporty style.I put the car in dynamic as the sportiest mode. I didn't have chance to push it too hard to hit 134 (you know that area specially on Sundays), but I could slide the car and it was fantastic. It was interesting for me how fast I got used to it (maybe because it's small car) to push it and still feel confident as the first time test drive. Car is well powerful and has great differential. I launched the car several times from standstill. It's pretty stable car and does not have that MUCH traction issue (Soooma always talk about it ) however I felt DSC was constantly working and now I understand why that guy in review said 500 calculations per second. Obviously ECU was constantly aiding but very fast. It's engaging the DSC and immediately disengaging and again and again. Let's say something like MDM with fast response time. Steering was good and heavy enough to feel the feedback. Suspension was stiff (and I liked it) and I felt like car was so lighter than 3950 lb!!! So everything was good except the tranny!! Man it's not fast enough. I mean it's a fast automatic transmission but much slower than DCT. If I want to compare it, I would say something slightly slower than ZF8 and if they claim 0-60 in 3.6 second, for sure it could be 3.4 if the tranny was DCT. Overall it's a great car for that price point but not my taste After leaving the dealership and getting back in M6, I had a good feeling to drive my toy in sequential sport+ mode
