Revs are erratic and stuttery on start up

Morning all,

Hope all is well.

Need some advice on possible reasons why the car revs are erratic and stuttery on start up in the morning only.
Sometimes it complete shuts down. Once I restart it's perfectly fine.
Furthermore, after the first morning start up, the car is fine through the day.

Any idea on what it could be?

Many thank as always in advance.

Maybe post in the main section as you will get a better response from the Americans, nothing against the UK but is more active on the main section.

Just out of interest do you often run the car below 30miles range (the second warning)

I’ve had the same thing as you twice, both times with c10 miles range left.

I don’t go below 50 now and it’s never happened again.

It actually says in the manual you can damage the car by going below 30 range ... maybe this is what they are talking about.

Anyway hope this helps.

Thanks mate...
But I doubt this is the reason.
This is honestly the 2nd maybe 3rd time I have let this happen. I tried Tesco 99 and wanted to see what I would get mileage wise.
Managed 226 miles. So very please with that! Lol

MAF sensor clean on both banks may help, they sometimes get an oily residue on them which can mess the sensor up...... BUT make sure you only clean them with maf sensor cleaner and not anything else... it's an easy job

I used this which was bought from Amazon... don't touch the sensors with anything other than the cleaner.
