[QUOTE=ImpetuousRacer;18795441]+1, I had a nightmare with my OEM BMW Wheel locks on my HRE P101. Key stripped when Discount Tire tried to remove (EVEN THOUGH BOLTS TORQUED TO SPEC PREVIOUSLY!!!), Brought to BMW, they spent days on it (Trying another key, using specialty tool, etc), ended up damaging my wheel, and never got them off. Brought to another shop to get off. Huge fiasco with these. Also heard many complaints about these specific locks.
These are the one's listed for F10 M5 Part# 36136792851 They are considered the "advanced" set, come with one key, and look like this: Also, they are supposed to have better security, the surround spins, etc. Another OEM option I was thinking of trying for our cars from BMW is the "basic" set Part#36136776076 and come with 2 keys, and look like this: Be wary of back street jocks using power wheel nut removers on locking bolt which may terminate locking bolt, tell them to undo and do up by hand. |
