New Member Intro
Hello Everyone!
Super excited to be joining the M5 Forums and I am still reading and learning all of the rules along with how to create decent posts in their proper places so I apologize in advance for any mistakes. I have a 2015 CP M5, 2014 Pre-LCI 550i, and a 2015 528i for the wife. All black on black and honestly I enjoy each one of them. I am currently "kind of" selling the 550i. It is posted in a few places, but I havent gone above and beyond with requests to help sell. Out of the interest pool, 2 serious people have came to see it and accepted my offer, but have yet to close the deal. I use it as a daily right now. Then comes my uncle's M5 lol. It has a couple packages and is overall in decent shape. It has a coolant leak of some kind, don't know where and what we believe is an exhaust leak. You can hear a ticking type of noise on start up and when accelerating. Definitely a smell when the door is open. I have Carly/BC and Carly pulled code 118010 along with some others. Its scheduled to be inspected at Precision Sport Industries in Oviedo, FL next Tuesday. As much as I love these cars, I have to admit I am not very well educated with the tech/maintenance side of things, but I am continuously reading and researching. I really look forward to conversing with everyone and helping out where I can. I am a finance manager for a motorcycle delaership (Ducati and Indian) so I may be able to provide advice when it comes to your next car/bike purchase. I can give advice on values, interest rates, and financing terms. I have ams downpipes, bmc drop ins, and im about to order Project Gamma intakes for my M5. Planning to install and tune everything soon! Thanks Everyone!!! |

Welcome.
There is a lot of info here, you just need to spend a few minutes searching first before starting a new thread. The coolant leak could be anything but is likely from the turbo coolant lines. Easy to check and easy to DIY. Good luck! |

Great talking to you the other day mike. I believe Active Flash is the route I would like to go, but I need a few more weeks before purchase and install. Thank you for answering all of my questions, the customer service was excellent. Cheers!

Welcome! I'm glad you have started modding, all it seems like you're missing is a tune to pair with those downpipes and you're set.

you need to get all new plugs and coil packs if youre a '13.. make sure all your fluids and everything is fresh .. get all your service up to spec and then tune after you've researched for like a month or two or 6.. because have you thought about how much torque are you going to get on your tune because if you get 600-650lb-ft you're gonna have to replace your clutch pack. get too much bottom end torque, your rod is bent getting downpipes.. is your tune going to get rid of the CEL? Will it remove the O2 sensor reading from the ECU? or will your tune just clear all codes at start up, meaning the CEL for the down pipes will be cleared but also any other check engine light code you may want to know about will be cleared as well ..and that is bad take your time. also when you tune how are you going to make it hook up? what kind of tires are you running? What size? it goes deeper and deeper |
