Dark side

After owning 3 M5s in a row (2008, 2013, 2015) I wanted to try something different before getting into the F90 M5. Bought this 2018 Mercedes E63 S a few months ago and have just finished the mods. HRE P101 wheels, lowered, Keller Catless downpipes, DME Stage 2 tune, JB4 to log and tweak boost. I also upgraded to the AMG carbon fiber trim since the car had black wood.

I absolutely love the car and specifically the AWD. Coming from heavily modified F10 M5s I could never put the power down. I will say this car is no faster than my Stage 2 M5s from a roll (lost to one last weekend in roll race event) but overall a better package. It is firm as others have mentioned but I like that race car type of feel. Definitely not a road trip car especially when specced with the performance seats.

absolutely beautiful car. perfect wheel choice and stance and I'm sure all that power with AWD makes for some powerful launches. thanks for sharing!

Thanks for all the nice comments guys! Haven’t had a F10 M5 for nearly a year now and this is still my favorite forum. I learned so much on this forum and it has such good participation. AMG forums a bit on quiet side.

Love it! That’s going to be my next move as well although I think I’ll go with a wagon.

Quiet compared to this? Wow there must be zero activity on the AMG forums.

Thanks for all the positive comments. Car ran a 10.9 a few weeks ago but IATS were extremely high. Now have Weistec WMI kit installed and now can stack JB4 on top of my stage 2. Hoping for 10.7 when I head back to strip next week.

Nice fitment and wheel choice!

How would you compare you experience of owning a E60 and F10 m5? I know there are a bunch of forums on this, but I want another person's take.
