help light engine on on my m5
Hello everyone I recently bought a bmw m5 f10 of 2013 and for some time and remained original but for some days I decided to remap the engine control unit with a stage2 and replaced the catalysts with the downpipe + sport air filters + exhaust terminals, as soon as I tried everything ok, this morning I go for a ride in the road with a little gas on the accelerator about 120 km and it seems that a cylinder does not go and I turn on the engine warning light, turn off the car and turn it on but the problem remains, so I decide to go home and after a while the engine light turns off and the engine returns to work ok, I try to give full power pushing the accelerator and the car works ok, what could have happened? I made a motor diagnosis and I have these errors dtc 168201 120908 120408 E58501 8020DB

when I had the problem you were almost full of gasoline, I did the maintenance but I have not replaced the candles since I bought my car, maybe I should do it and make the gap as many say a0.020?

Thanks friend for the answer I was worried that it could be an injector or spark plug ruined, I still have the original no gap 0.20 and soon I would like to put the ngk iridium, I thought it could be a bad remapping of stage2, the car is strong but I would like an opinion, on the mod file to feel comfortable, who can help me

it could be a number of reasons, spark plugs, coils, mass air flow sensors, oxygen sensors.
change the spark plug from cylinder 3 with 2. check if the problem moves to #2 then the spark is faulty. if the same problem remains, do the same for coil #3 to #2, check if the problem moves to #2 then the coil is faulty. third thing to do is to check or change MAF. forth is the oxygen sensor check or change. |
