No idea, I think he bought these and later bought AMS which he ended up installing.

All I know it could be made in China like more than half of these types of products.

Problem with no knowing where they came from...no idea if they will fit proper and/or without modifications (heat shield). Might be best if your friend can hunt down where he purchased them.

Given asking price it should indicate that these are not perfect. Otherwise what is the difference between $1800 pipe and $350 pipe on eBay assuming steel grade is the same.

That's right. Brand names is what counts.

Why buy an LG TV when you can buy Sony and pay 3x more who sources their screens from LG.

Most of the items made by "brand name" companies and made with cheap labor In countries where labor is not managed. I don't think I need to spell it out.

But it's all good. To each their own. 👍🏻
