CSF's new daily driver - Imola Red F10 M5

Hi Guys,

Ravi - owner of CSF Cooling here.
1st post on the M5 boards. hello!

I was able to work some industry channels to pick up 2015 F10 M5 in Imola Red ZCP car that is fully loaded including the optional carbon ceramic break package. Had ~27,000 miles when it was delivered to me.

I would say the car was in 8.5/10 condition when I took delivery.
Interior - 9.5/10 - only very slight signs of wear. Normal use - back seats and passenger seat looked almost new.
Exterior - rock chips on front bumper / hood, and a small dent on the rear bumper. ZCP wheels had some curb rash on them as well. (All of these blemishes are currently getting fixed)

I had the car returned completely back to stock as I wanted to start fresh with my new project.

Currently pushing ~615HP to the wheels - I'll get the car properly dyno'ed at VF Engineering once the car is completed.

CURRENT MODS

EXTERIOR:
Frequency Intelligent Exhaust - Fi Exhaust with diamond black tips
PSM Dynamic full carbon aero package for F10 m5
IND Distribution gloss black grill, side vents, painted side markers, badging, etc
ZCP wheels refinished in gloss black - 15mm spacers in the back / 10or12mm in the front (have to double check)

PERFORMANCE
CSF Radiators x Pure Turbos new Fxx M5/M6 charge air coolers - custom color matched - 1st set installed in the world.
RK Autowerks carbon fiber cold air intake system
Hex-Tuning by VF Engineering ECU tune through the OBDII port (amazing tune!)
built by: Bullet Performance in Costa Mesa, CA

INTERIOR
3D design paddles in gloss black with imola red +- signs
M Performance electronic steering wheel.

IN PROCESS
Agency power carbon fiber vented hood
Repainting front bumper
Fixing damage / repaint to rear bumper
Gloss black wrap on roof
Chrome delete / change to gloss black on Front/back emblems + center caps (through IND)
Full paint correction / XPEL clear bra / then ceramic pro (car is going to look mint!)

FUTURE MODS
2 or 3 additional sets of wheels.
6sxity gloss black wheels with red accent
Advant GT wheels in gloss black
Rotiform forged KPS mono block wheels in gloss black
- I'm really liking the ZCP wheels in gloss black, but new wheels will be coming to keep the look fresh throughout the year.

Here are some pictures:
UPDATE (9/11/2018) - for some reason a lot of the pictures I've posted are not showing up
You can see the full feature on Speedhunters.com here:
http://www.speedhunters.com/2018/07/...p-csfs-f10-m5/

High quality / professional photoshoot coming early Feb - will also be featuring on Speedhunters, and in Performance BMW magazine.

Congrats on the beast! She's looking might fine already.

Care to elaborate on your replacement charge coolers? Been keeping an eye on them for awhile now and would love to hear more about them.

Yes - there will be a drop in IAT's, especially after prolonged use, you will see a bigger delta.

1) Each intercooler is 28% larger than the OEM cooler. We're talking 28% larger core volume.

2) The core is high efficiency, built in-house, water-to-air bar/plate intercooler. This is compared to the OEM style tube/fin core. Bar/plate has a higher heat soak point than tube/fin - so over a prolonged period of time (i.e continued drag-race / HWY pulls, 1/2 mile racing, etc) - you will see the advantage, and the car will continue to offer the same consistent amount of power as the 1st run.

3) 28% larger core volume, means more airflow, which means more power.

4) Yes, there are built-in E85/meth injection ports built into this cooler. RK Autowerks designed the cooler along with CSF engineers (me) with the input of high horse power M5/M6 specialist Pure Turbos. 1st kits will be available next week.

Here to answer questions if anyone else has any.

Any fitment issues necessary like rerouting lines, etc? Are there mounting differences with the different years of build, 2012 through 2017?

For those of us with a mild flash tune, catless DP, and stock turbos, is there any performance increase? Probably just a continued steady level of performance no matter how hot the day might be?

They're bolt on design, no cutting, moving things around, etc.

No difference on any f10 models.

That is awesome you built a water injection port into them.
That is the best place in my opinion to inject for this platform

Keep up the good work. At this rate, my wallet will have serious lag time between what I am working on at this time and what is being produced to improve the breed.
