BTW OpenFlash fellas: Is there a way to control the active sound inside the car from the tablet?

I still can't see those options in there.

OFT is for ECU 1 and 2 flashing, not for coding of vehicle features/functions. The ASD module can be coded off using a number of other methods, or simply disconnected.

.... Well you're in for a surprise dba1t !!

Actually, ASD muting is available via OFT - this is an ON DEMAND feature, and can be muted or un-muted in realtime - no recoding required.

We initially released the feature for use with the M3/4 F80 - but it will work for the F10 M5!!

In this menu you can MUTE or UNMUTE the system at will. I'll have our engineers move the function to the current M5 protocol within the coming week(s). This will bring you the features from your diagnostic menu.

Trying to record, and use the OFT with my huge fingers can be tough.

I'm sure I've seen this before but are you able to configure the exhaust flaps to be open or closed when in different modes? I'd like to have the flaps closed when in efficient and open in sport and sport plus.

Yes they can, but understand something:

We shouldn't prevent the flaps from opening while driving in Efficiency mode at all times. They should allowed to open when doing an aggressive pass /lane change or while in any defensive driving situation that requires hard acceleration. Keeping them closed would only cause excess heat and back pressure in the exhaust/manifolds that is unwarranted.

There are also some situations where you may not realize your still in "E", and attempt to drive aggressively for a duration of time --

The Efficiency valve mode should remain OE.

Not necessarily. But we had the opportunity to test v2 yesterday on Jeff’s car with HF cats. It made 40whp more than it did on the previous v1.2 (680 vs 640whp). My M5 competition (with just cat-back Ti exhaust) made 30hp more on v2 than it made on v1.2 (670 vs 630whp). In fact every M5 we have tested made 20-40whp more on v2 than it did on v1.2. Tested on same day and on same dyno. I’ll be posting up dyno results soon.

v2 tunes incorporate torque reductions in 1st, 2nd and a little bit in 3rd gear. But if you are seeing snow, you out of luck

from last night on Jeff's car:

I'll be posting up cleaner dyno graphs in an official v2 thread i'll start tomorrow

It was my car that was on the dyno yesterday. The car is an absolute monster now. My car doesn't have anything except high flow cats and was amazed at the numbers it put down compared to V1.2 (40whp difference).

The car pulls effortlessly all the way to redline. It's hard to believe that this is a turbo car - the power band behaves very much like a high strung N/A car (a good thing). The power is on tap whenever you need it with no lag. Open Flash knows how to tune. They are legit and you guys will love V2.

I don't have the torque reduction by gear file so 1st is useless, 2nd fights for traction and 3rd is generally ok in good conditions. I'm also running 305/30/20 Michelin p4s in the rear. They have a torque reduction by gear file if you need it.
