I do agree it needs a response OpenFlash

It is not fair but it’s factual.

What I mean when I say halfhearted results are the following :

Come on strong with lots of support, even initially debut a decent product - they developed a following with whatever platform they’ve moved on to and then do something like to from version 1.2 to 2 , that’s about 8 missing revisions from an engineers standpoint.

When their new rollout isn’t well received or causes problems they ghost on the platform and move to a new one.

That is extremely halfhearted.

It’s also low key BS that if you stay consistent it limits your business model. Look at Sheepy Built and EVOs, Underground Racing and Lamborghini, AMS and GTRs

When you do something well you stick with it and dominate.

From seeing this company, Vishnu, chameleon from platform to platform while obscuring their real business identity to bury bad press its alarming

Ive been following this thread as well.. I have to say that I'm very surprised they don't chime in. If you look at their profile, you can see they are visiting the site, but no responses.. makes no sense and does not inspire any confidence.

I've been looking at OpenFlash for a while now and been contemplating pulling the trigger on their tune. I like how they limit torque whilst still getting good power. My confidence has been somewhat knocked by this thread. What other tuning options are available that take engine and running gear life into consideration?

As I am in the UK, Evolve seems like a good choice and they have lowered their prices recently. They have a good rep when it comes to tuning the f10. They do not appear to limit the torque on their tunes however. Has anybody on here used Evolve's tunes for a long period of time?

I'm going to be patient with them, Anthony was up at 3am the other day when he helped me remotely to get my computer to accept the OFT manager... so my assumption is that they are exhausted, trying to get caught up and may have had some thing going on this past week that pulled them from being able to monitor this board and reply as often.
One solution too would be to put the v1.2 and v2 in the system for downloading so that end users (like myself) could try both and then decide. V2 is working great for me so far, but I might would like the V1.2 better since I don't get to go high RPM's a whole lot in my daily drive.

Be careful using revision/version numbers as something to ascertain missing releases of software. This isn't how "engineers" operate. For example, the Linux kernel jumps to major version numbers when enough changes have been made to move to the next major release. The same is likely no different here between v1.2 and v2.

"Ghost" as in slow response on a message board, or slow response by phone call and or email? I've found that the two methods are vastly different since not all companies have continuous presence in whatever threads that might have splintered on a message board.

Well, any company's business model should be to stay in business. Who knows how those other companies you referenced stay sustainable. Don't be so quick to try and compare the sausage without know how it's made.

All - I received a response. Anthony advises to simply request the previous version v1.2 map.

Yikes, was on the fence but most likely will not go with OFT for my stage 1 on my 13' M5. Kind of a confusing thread, I like the price and the ease of use but everyone's tone kind of scares me. I'll be keeping and eye to see if anything changes.
