Best way to tune F10 M5

Looking for recommendations on installing catless downpipes with a tune. I'm mainly worried about the O2 sensors as I do not want to disable them but I don't want to keep the cel on the dash.

With a flash tune, you won't disable the O2 sensors; instead, you'll hide the check engine light (CEL).

That being said, the tune provides the most significant power boost. You could begin with the Bootmod3 to avoid dealing with the CEL and then decide on the downpipes later.

I see that you are in the Dallas area. Hit up the folks at Sales@RKautowerks. They have a lot of experience with the S63TU engine, design and manufacture a lot of performance parts. Rod bearings and rods can be a real heart breaker so consider starting with the inside of the engine before adding power.

I am big fan of Bootmod3. It is an easy to use app, has some off the shelf tunes and have a very customer service centric staff. Just don't go nuts with the power and do oil changes no later than 5k miles.

Welcome to m5post, you'll find a lot of information and a ton of friendly members.

im still trying to figure out how people get around the yearly inspections in texas with catless downpipes. My understanding is evven with tuning out the CEL it still fails you ?

use a CATTED DP that has a 200 or 300 CEL CAT. Same as what they do in CA and other states with emissions. Normal CAT has 2000 CEL vs a Race CAT that has 200 or 300 and that is what is used in a CATTED DP. I have CATTED DP and a stage 2 tune that makes 640 on the dyno. More than enough power for me.
