Nice... I'm wondering how long Nissan wants to produce this GTR with different editions...

in 10-20 years all super cars will be electric or hybrid somehow.
488 is a monster, RWD with 10.6 trapping over 135 mph, amazing car...

Very nice to watch. Good comparation

Embedded for your pleasure.... I wasnt shocked that the Tesla won or its 125 trap as that seems to be where the tests have been. In fact, I wasnt shocked with any of the results.

And for fun, here is the WGDR6... interesting that we have the Mac GT in the race 7 and the 570S in race 6. They have relatively close times:

The next Generation Nissan GTR will beat the P100D in the quarter.

488 is stupid fast for being RWD. In my mind the 488 is the clear winner here. Having AWD is like cheating. There?s a certain dynamic of driving feeling a RWD car has that no AWD car can ever match, both in straight line acceleration and during turns. The fact that a RWD 488 can pretty much keep up with an AWD Turbo S is astounding to me.

Something is weird here... you can see the Turbo S out-launch the Tesla clearly. There is no way it is going to then fall back. This is all staged... Elon probably funded this race.

OR, the individual who drove didn't turn PSM off.

In one view the Tesla takes off super fast... the Turbo S is actually 'missing'

In the other snapshot (of the same video... and race)... the Turbo S is out-launching the Tesla... !!

At 5:40 in the video (likely towards the end of the race...) you see the Tesla pulling on the Turbo S and the Ferrari. Considering it is running 10mph LESS than those cars... how is that possible?

yea i've watched this today more clearly than yesterday and .....

... this is Tesla advertisement

They did multiple runs and NO SINGLE END TO END run, where we can see real race result, @5:41 you can see turbo S and 488 breaking to not overtake tesla. WHY?!

And funny thing is that MotorTrend ALWAYS says that Tesla P100d does 10.5@125mph, no more, no less. and guy from Dragtimes or TeslaRacingChannel did worst trap/time on DRAGSTRIP..

So yea, let's treat this videos as entertaiment and for any reason DO NOT READ YOUTUBE COMMENTS BELOW THE VIDEO lot of fanbois there

488 is a monster in the straight line, Auto Bild just did their big test on it, it did 0-300 in 23.9 seconds, that?s more than 10 seconds faster than the M6 CP they did a few months back.

Not trying to be a conspiracy theorist BUT: if these types of documented results from magazines are from cars supplied by Ferrari, (and not by an owner), then you have to remain a little skeptical since Ferrari apparently have a history of supplying 'ringers' to the press. Meaning no owners can get close to the times posted by the 'factory' car.

Lol yeah, Ferrari does have a history of doing such things. I once read there was a test where Ferrari supply two cars, one for straight line test and one for track.

Well if 23.9 second is correct, then 488 is 6.5 seconds (23.9 vs 30.4) faster than M6 CP (575 HP) in case of 0-300 km/h

Do we really care what cars do stock? Most of the folks here have some go-fast goodie or two. What does the Tesla owner do other than strip the car's weight like some dude did all over YouTube

anyone know the 0-100mph times for the top three contenders?

Here’s what I could find.

Porsche Turbo S: 6.0 seconds to 100mph
488: 5.9 seconds to 100mph
P100d: 6.5x seconds to 100mph

Real world testing. So not on a strip, not with non oem tires.

🤔

Lol, since Ferrari has a history of manipulating cars for testing purposes, I suppose it?s only fair to compare it to the fastest stock M6 ever

What a joke. No demon, z06, viper, gt350. What is a Lexus, grand sport, Gulia, and caymen doing there? Of course the tesla won that. Rigged. And you have a 3 mile runway. Why not do 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, and 1 mile? Seriously. This was stupid.

LOL.... And I believe this fastest stock M6 will remain the fastest BMW (0-300 km/h) for years since the new M5/M8 with AWD are not able to be faster than this car
BTW, although I'm not gonna start new war but a European member who is M6 owner sent me message the other day explaining why 600 CP M6 is slower than 575 CP M6. He explained BMW has changed the engine map of 600 CP to be able to follow the European Emission 2015. In fact car is actually generating 600 HP but with different power/torque curve... I'm not saying it's confirmed but just saying I was told....

Actually I am inclined to believe you. Another member a while ago posted that his 600HP M6 dyno less HP than his friend?s 575HP version and also lost to him in rolling races.

All those 34~35 seconds 0-300kmh cars tested by magazines are all 600HP versions.

Even those 575HP cars, some believe the earlier ones are quicker than the later ones.

Perhaps emission rules are really playing a role, who knows.
