My X3 is dirtier than your X3.

Jeez, I always wondered how does it even get that dirty back there from just driving on the slushy highway. It looks like I drove it backwards.

Winter has arrived in the big city.

Haha nice. I was wondering how the PB would look like dirty. Now we know.
How did that spray get on the back side like that?

Seriously - this was just from driving on the highway round trip of about 130 miles after a light snow storm. The roads were actually pretty clear, but wet and a little slushy/salty but not really much. I think the slush and salt I was shooting to the rear as I was driving must have pulled back via some backdraft and hitting my car. This isn't the first time this has happened, but I didn't expect it considering the roads were not that bad at all.

My front is a lot cleaner than the rear.

Another Dirty pic

Here is another. Did 250 miles to get my Mediterranean Blue this way. I am on my way back to Cape Cod from Ski Country today before I wash it. BTW: it was -17 F this morning, (-30 wind chill) and the X3d started right up after sitting all night.

We have about 18 inches of snow on the level.

Gotta be that rear spoiler? BTW it sucked down a whole gallon of washer fluid and still has the warning on the display, still the weak front spray and no rear. I suppose it's the sub-zero temps.

No rear wash fluid sprayer on the x3? Or just that it was too cold for it to operate? Either way, kinda lame.

My front did not fare anywhere as bad as the back. I'm still get amazed at how it get back there even though it has happened in my previous X3s. I don't know enough about drag and backdraft and etc. to understand why this happens.

One of the "bad" things about getting my cars this time of year is that they usually get dirty quickly but this is probably the first time I've gotten it so dirty barely a month of having the car - and just from normal highway driving.

Hexagonal Adaptive LED envy?

My wife noticed the warning before the low temps hit so I think it may be an issue. Should have been prepped with a full reservoir and manual states it supplies the rear with fluid. Maybe it's just leaking out onto the ground as I am driving away.

I wonder how different the dirt pattern would have looked if the Breathers had been active?

You have just given the proof that BMW needs to bring back headlight washer system - at least as an option

I was just checking that. I didn't even think it would be removed. Sigh! I miss that feature!

me too, but i recently saw a video on Instagram i think, it is explain how the kidney open and close, but the demonstration car i think is 5 series or 7 series, it is shows when car starting te kidney will open, only when you switch to sport mode it will close to reduce the air flow.
