even with good winter tires, if you have >20cm of snow on the ground, it would be one heck of a challenge to drive this beast. Forget going up the hill if the road is not plowed.

It's my daily and I put winter tires on her so it hasn't been an issue at all. Drove it from Chicago to SF two weeks ago and had to pass some rough mountain roads. I'm still here today so it went well
Just don't do it if it's unplowed as clearance will be an issue. |

We had a "dusting" a few weeks ago and I thought I wasn't gonna make it home lol. I don't have winters since snow is rare here and when it does everything shuts down pretty much. I'm on one pzeros seem to remember MPSS bing a little better last time this happens but not certain : anyway any snow driving whatsoever get winters

I also daily my M5 here in Utah and we've had one hell of a winter. That said I have a dedicated set of winter tires (Pirelli Sottozero) on a set of 345m wheels and the set works great.
Even in the heavy stuff I haven't had any issues. Just have to drive responsibly. This car can handle anything if you're prepared.

Get winters! They are worth their weight in gold lol
Last snowstorm here in NY we got around 6-7 inches and i never had an issue getting around. Granted going up a steep hill from a stop wont happen, but driving around and overall grip was great. Handled better than my 550xi on all seasons. |
