There's tons of YouTube videos. It's really plug n play. All you need is a torx screwdriver to install.

Appreciate your awesome great write up Im actually really Interested, thought I'm looking for options with android auto rather than apple car play, from the look of it, not sure if all the above options support AA.

Edit: The Joyeauto does in fact work with AA as per Joyeauto chat.

Yes, not everyone is in the Apple camp. I'll update the page and thanks for confirming!

Will the Kremersino unit allow me to mirror my iPhone? I plan on displaying a performance app on my screen, since I don't have the power dials.

I have it, as do many others on various platforms. Works great too. However, a newer and less expensive kit is now on the market since I originally did this comparison chart. Look into Andream, which utilizes the oem mic and is plug n play. More info here: https://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=25544310

FYI, i installed the andream unit. Pretty awesome. Only thing i am struggling with is the USB connector: the andream unit comes with a much larger plug than the bimmertech one.. so it looks horrible coming out of the console. Trying to figure out a better placement/alternative option...

Otherwise, its great. Not too hard to install.

Any chance your used Android Auto, because form F30 post i read that resolution is a tiny bit 'stretched' due to slightly wrong DPI value. Also did you update your firmware ? if so how was the process ?

Sorry, using carplay (so no idea how AA looks). Carplay looks great.
I believe i am on the newest firmware. I bought the unit from another dude on the F30 post who updated it before sending it.
