B&O Much more quiet for Pandora

For some reason whenever I use Pandora on my phone connected by the USB port, the system requires that I put the volume much higher to get the same amount of sound compared to raising it maybe half way for Sirius. It must be the system because on a loaner 535, the regular audio that I plugged my phone in to use Pandora was much much louder. Does anyone know why that might be? Is it something in the settings I can change?

This occurred both in my older 13 M5 and now in my 14.

Again this is for the B&O system.

Thanks!

I don't use Pandora, nor how your interface from your phone to USB interacts. However, in similar setups of other vehicles of mine, I have to turn the volume up on my phone once an app like Pandora is playing. Not sure if that's an option with your setup.

Have you tried boosting the volume on the phone itself?

I've noticed this as well via Bluetooth connection.

Unlike my 2013 m3, the volume on the iPhone is adjustable when in Bluetooth mode in my M5.

As mentioned above, you might want to check your volume slider.

Even full blast, mine is still a tad quieter than the radio though.

It's not much, but I notice it.

Phone volume has no effect. It doesn't work in the same manner as lets say just using an audio jack. BTW i would highly recommend using an internet radio app because the quality is exponentially better than satellite radio and HD radio, for any system mind you.

Yeah it does not work like an audio jack input type setup. The bluetooth and the usb connection alike work in the same fashion. It's simply something with the B&O because the regular sound system in the 5 series did not have this issue when I had a loaner.

Yeah, bluetooth and USB yield the same result. Not sure what it can be except for the sound system itself. Never played with any of the settings aside from the expanded or standard option for the system that gives that surround or direct sound. The dealerships of course have no clue and I figured someone here might have experienced the same issue. Funny thing is that although sirius sounds like shit on the B&O, Pandora is pretty nice, but I wish it could be just as loud as a CD.

What phone? My iPhone has a separate Bluetooth volume setting.

Trying to figure out why Pandora is not anywhere near as loud on the B&O system. I connect my phone via USB or Bluetooth. Either way does not matter, and the volume is rather weak and needs to be turned up twice as much compared to say the satellite radio volume to have the same level of sound.

Also that read the thread pic is rather distasteful and i don't look or feel that way, it was just convenient lol.

I do - Google Play All Access. It streams at 320Kbps. Pandora peaks at 192 Kbps, last I checked.

LOL, Pandora still gives me a nice song selection but I will be subscribing to Google Play today. I'll see if it makes a difference. Thanks again for the help.

BMW M5 2015 with Bang & Olufsen...

Is possible install a subwoofer (10") in the car trunk?

If possible, as is control of subwoofer? Is independent of original system?

I'm not sure, that's something that I would post in the forum as it's own topic. I'm sure someone will have experience with that kind of modification.
