Question about Downpipes

Hi forum!

Im planning on installing catless DP on my F10 M5. After reading around in forum, there are reports of wastegate rattle after going catless.
Is that a common problem? If so, what is the fix for it.

Thinking about VRSF CATLESS DPs with Ceramic Coating.

Is there any diff between a $500 dp vs a $1700 dp. Yes you get what you pay for, but both seem to be made out of steel and are 3" in diameter.

My car is stock and i want to start doing some performance and visual mods.

Second question, my car has Night Vision. I cant seem to find black grill with NV. Anyone has any suggestion where to get the black grill with NV. I have the option to paint the chrome, but was told it will show rock chips.

all catless dp rattle yes and AMS catless dp is 3.5" so bigger not same others.

I had vrsf on my last m5. Tons of problems, rattle, fitment and problem with o2 due to fitment.

This time I did oem gutted and much better. Sounds just as good and no fitment issues or o2 issues.

I highly suggest you find some oem and gut them. This also will be the cheapest

I got fabworx downpipes, not fitment issues, 3 cars done the same day we did not have any issues, the rattle is not bad at all, the spool sound takes over

How much was your installation. I was quoted $750 today. Guy said its a 7 hour job?????

You could install it on your own with absolutely no wrenching experience with a walmart tool kit quicker than that. Three (3) hours tops and even that's conservative.

Agree, Fabworx and be done with it. Call Keith at Fabworx directly and he will give you an awesome price. He's very knowledgable and spent the time to talk with me. He's a fellow gear head. Installation and fitment were perfect. You can rest assured this is a quality piece made in the USA. Rattle sound is not bothersome IMO. The new exhaust note and turbo spooling up make it all worthwhile.

I've been lazy, but I will hopefully write up a review of the downpipe with pics and video along with opinions.

i would not pay over 300 for install, that shit is easy.
