I dont want a digital dash. The HUD is digital. The analog cluster complements that. If both were digital it would gain nothing, and make the car look cheap.

For real? I don't have an allocation yet and this may be incentive to want to wait. Next question will be how much (or will it be included in one of the packages)? (Just to be clear, I'm referring to the digital dash, not the nav system.)
I was reffering to the satnav. My dealer said that there wasn't any info regarding the digital dashboard for the M5.

How do you get a September allocation? I'm in the process of ordering an M5 now. I plan to do an ED at the end of September. Is there a way that I can make sure that my production date is in September so that I get this new nav system?

Thanks.

Not sure in the US. In Canada, my dealer is now 'projecting' orders placing by end of June will be looking at Sep build and delivery in mid October.

A month ago, my dealer was saying it's should be August built date and delivery in early Sep.

The word is 'projecting', therefore, even my dealer is not 100% certain. The only thing he knows for sure is that the factory will fill as much US orders first and then the rest of the world.

When you get your order in and your production number, you will be able to see the build week. My build week was the week prior to my ED Guess they dont want these things sittang around collecting dust. I was worried the paint wont be dry...

Doesn't the 2013 M5 already have voice recognition? In case they put Siri, then it may be frustrating for those who do not have a neutral American accent as that seems to be the only one the really works fine with Siri. Even Americans with a Southern drawl or NorthEast accent with the long "a" sound have a hard time being understood by Siri.

I'm thinking the same thing now. At first I thought it was from July on, now I'm not sure. I have a week 30 production (last week of July) so will I have the new sat nav?

USA cars will get this from July production.

Also the Siri integration is purely software and will also be available on the 2012s. The link here shows that some people already have Siri working on the 2012 nav system with iOS 6.

: Thanks, that's what I thought the beginning of the thread said. It seemed that somewhere along the line we all got a bit confused. :
