Purchase of 2013 M5 - Need Advice
I am new to the forum and need some advice. I am purchasing a 2013 M5, fully loaded, from a used dealer. The vehicle was initially purchased by the dealer with a "mist box" in the trunk, used to cool the turbos and/or engine. The box consumed trunk space, so the dealer removed it. But now the dealer old me that the vehicle's system has to be reset. He acknowledged that the removal of the box should have been done by a mechanic specializing in BMWs (or other exotic cars).
I know this post lacks info, but should I back out of the deal? Or is this somewhat normal? Thanks, Amit |

Walk away. That "mist box" was probably used to run methanol; car might have been running a flash tune.

autotrader. Find a 2013 M5 with extended warranty.
Best bang for the buck. Fly to see it and drive it home.
