Who have used Ceramic Pro glass coating??
In my town I have only found one detailing company who apparently do know about glass coatings and use them. They only use CeramicPro. From this forum I liked most Modesta, but no one has and uses them.
They charge 2.000 for full detailing as they say with 9 or 11 layers as I remember. Do you think it is a fair price and how good is the product? Thanks in advance |

I'm getting Ceramic Pro done to my car this week. The detailer I spoke with mentioned that 2-3 coating is absolutely adequate. It seems like 9-11 layers might be overkill?

Their list price is $1100 for the 3 coats, which is referred to as their silver exterior package.

The trouble with these coatings is that while they may last for several years, they won't stay scratch free for more than a year - especially in your northern climates, you will start to notice wear on the finish by the end of the winter.
I've done this a few of times, CQuartz Pro, Optiguard Pro, Gtechniq Ceramic, etc. The coatings never lose their hydrophobic property, but they do develop micro scratches just like paints do (they resist scratches better than paint, but not that much better). So after a year, if you want your car to look immaculate, you will need to have the car polished, and then recoated. As a result of this, I have now switched away from doing $1000 + details, because at the end of the day, you are better off doing a $350 coating every year, than doing a $1000 coating, and then redoing that every year.
