Should knowing where to go and how to get where you need to be to win be part of the equation for being the best all around driver?

I kind of think is should.

I am thinking about Tom Brady here as well as Hamilton.
Brady is or is not the GOAT, I am not looking to have this debate, but he clearly saw that his the potential for winning in NE was dwindling and he went to a team bursting with talent and won another SB in the first year. Hamilton did the same. Something to consider. Max picked RB incorrectly as his chariot to the sun...at least for the first few years.

First it takes talent to get a seat at the a top team and of course it should be part of the equation. No matter how good a driver, you won't win at a shit team.

I don't think Max picked incorrectly. It's the cards he was dealt. He's at the only other team capable of challenging Merc since Ferrari went to shit. This unless we see a massively resurgent McLaren this year. Russell is ahead of him for the next opening at Merc. Max is stuck with RBR unless he can start being more consistent and show another top team that he has what it takes.

So funny..Alonso has sent a 'warning' to everyone that he's still the best driver on returning and not to mess with him. I can't see how he can justify that in the blue Laguna with mountain air stickers heheh

Have one from Armani , feels like It's high quality glass and feels great for my eyes .
And of course the one from ///M . The one in carbon fibre look . But it feels not so good for my eyes .
To watch in the sun . The Armani feels better .

Emporio Armani are good ones I heard. My PD's are excellent for the sun and are almost the easy rider styled with mirror finish lenses. I also have another pair, the original huge e/r style dk brown lenses in a black wire frame with the lens held in by hooks.
They are great for really sunny days.

I watched a video on it last night. Seems like they might have found the magic bullet. Typically when you go smaller and more powerful you get less reliable though. We will see what happens! Testing sure looked good for power figures and reliability though.

During the test runs on the HONDA dyno power bench it showed zero issues.
Last Friday during the sand storm , Max ran 139 laps , zero issues .
Over the 3 days winter test in Bahrain the new '21 HONDA PU ran 4000 + km !


The HONDA F1 tech boss "Toyoharu Tanabe" says his engineers worked on every main element of the '21 hybrid engine, including its layout, to extract more performance from its package "without compromising reliability" !

"It is difficult to be specific about which parts have seen the most work, but in order to improve power and reliability, we have made modifications to the ICE [internal combustion engine] turbine and ERS [energy recovery system]

Now guys, if Max starts beating Lewis, I don't want to hear, "it's the technology/engine/magic bullet", his wins will be primarily talent driven, just like Lewis's. Fair is fair.
