all season vs Winter tires
Hello,
This is my first post. I have gone through previous threads and haven't found one that helped me out too much. This is my 1st M5 and I love it so far. I live in New Mexico our winters aren't very bad but it does get cold. My Michelin Pilot sports loose traction on the cold asphalt even after driving for a while. So would an all season tire work better than a winter tire since our winters are mild? Thank you |

if you do not get or drive in snow I think you will be fine putting on all-seasons in colder months. michelin pilot as4's are great tires and come in or close to oe spec.
for context, I'm in southeast michigan and contend with periods of snow w/ several inches accumulating from december - march. I run the bmw 408m 19" winter wheels w/ bridgestone blizzak lm-32s which i think will be overkill for your use case. |
