BMW f10 m5 Fitment problems

Car has Kw suspension
The rear passenger side tire was changed (scum bag chipped my rim)
Once the rim was installed the tire is very noticeably closer to the quarter panel unlike the driver side rear, the previous tire was not sitting so close to the quarter panel as it is now mind you the tire I put on now is a new tire that the tire was older. I have spaces all the way around but again the driver side rear tire does not sit as tight close like the right side rear tire is it anybody know what could’ve caused this or if maybe somethings shifted when taking off previous rim and tire

Is it a MO spec tire? Those are more narrow than Star or N0 spec.

Would help to post the spec of the tire also, go check the other tire. Seems Michelins PS4S those come in few specs , some of them are actually wider than other. You can look at the one you have and go tire rack to compare it.

Sorry everyone
Tire specs are 295/30/20 Michelin super sport
The rear tires are the same size but from what one of you said has me thinking if there’s some other type of trim tire wise that differs from the other?

Yes, that's what we're saying. Check your tire; after it says the tire model, "Pilot Sport 4 S" for example, it will be blank (generic spec), have a Star symbol (BMW spec), say N0 (Porsche spec), or MO (Mercedes spec). Mercedes is typically the narrowest and Porsche the widest.

Definitely a different spec'd tire. Please update us when you find out the reason.

Rims specs

These were the tires I had on the car before the rubbing
The two tires on now are cup 2’s but my driver side is fine and the right isn’t

Before what rubbing? This thread is a mess. Read our responses and look at your tires.

So you have cup 2's on now. To put it simple, there is a Michelin cup 2 model made for Mercedes and one for BMW.

You probably have one for Mercedes and one for BMW.

Thats why you're seeing different thickness.

Did you make sure the spacers are on both sides?
