I'm definitely excited . Nothing "clinical" or "boring" about the car . It just has to be driven like a rear engine car and it's a shit ton of fun as stated in the video if you do . Love that sport plus was letting him get those angles .

I didn't understand that part with under-steering because the front end is so light....I had the impression that under-steering happens when the front end is too heavy, not too light, see below:

"Four-wheel drive systems usually enable you to reapply power very early in corners, but with the Turbo S that isn’t quite the case. Because of the very light front end and the incredibly grippy rear axle, you actually need to have the car pointed more or less in a straight line before you stand on the accelerator, otherwise the front end will wash out."

You left out the very important next paragraph lol.

"With the stability system removed entirely, meanwhile, the Turbo S can be teased into extraordinary angles of oversteer both on the way into a corner and under power on the way out ? without any of the snappiness that you might expect of a 200mph supercar. "

It's a rear engine car if the stability system doesn't let the rear tire's spin it won't rotate and the afore mentioned will happen at the limit . Remember if you are entering a corner and floor it all the weight goes to the rear of a car , if it's a rear engine car that gives you tons of rear wheel traction ( more than the front ) . In the video he describes the two ways on corner entry to totally negate understeer of any rear engined car
1 turn in aggressively and enter the corner with the rear end out .then get on the gas as the rear slides out ( the fun way )
2 trail brake as you are turning in keeping weight on the front axle . (This is the neater line and usually the fastest way . )

It's pretty amazing how Porsche managed to get the car to drive the way it does considering that 99% of the weight is behind the rear axle. Ok, I exaggerate, but I am really looking very favorably at the new 911. I like it that the damn car is so compact (narrow and short) and has good ground clearance both front and back. That makes it very appealing as a DD.

I agree, the .2 Turbo S is replacing my M6 as my DD.

I think he went white with red guts???

I like Lava Orange but only for a moment- the novelty will wear off and I do like to get decent coin on my cars when I dump them. An orange 991 is a very hard move at the wholesale or dealer level especially when used (no leasing options and unique buyers only). The 991 in orange is not the same like a GT3 or GT3 RS would be in that color.

Riviera Blue is also another good one. On a GT3.

Black BBS Fi's on it, and you have the perfect GT3.

Yeah it does sort of get away with a near Yas Marina Blue look, but it's too soft, 'nice' and baby blue for a weapon like this... Would a GT3 RS look good in this colour?? Probably yeah. As the TTS is almost as good as the GT3rs... Not for me anyway. Yeah Dave's RPi Mika M5 looks superb in that Riviera similar colour, as does a macca, Lambo perhaps, but to me it doesn't suit the TTS.

Please, will someone put me out of my misery and tell me this new 991.2 TTS isn't that much better than the current 991 TTS...!?? Pls..

If it runs anywhere close to the 7:18 they claim then it's damn impressive and will seriously pound on the competition on track ( 570 and R8 V10) and will even be faster than both its GT brothers on track . I've grown skeptical about all factory times so we will see what sport auto gets out of it .
