Finally bought the F10 M5 CP and back to BMW family

Have previously owned several e46's including the e46 M3 and also e39 M5 and now finally bought the '15 CP in Sapphire Black with Silver Stone. Love the car except for the weight

It has pretty much all the options except for ceramics and rear entertainment.
Looking forward to learning more about the car with all you experts here and glad to be back with the BMW family.

Enjoy the pics!

Cheers!

Very nice car and photos! Now, don't tank the value and black everything out! Haha! I'm new to this particular forum since March, when I got back into BMW with my 2015 M5.

There is a ton of great information in this forum that has been here long before I got here, but I've noticed a handful of other new members who are probably coming into their M's in a similar fashion, so let's keep the conversation and info sharing going! To get you started, look into the Gentleman function, updating your maps, and maybe new brake pads to get rid of the dusters!

Thank you all. I was kinda active on the M5 Board when I had the e39 M5 but I sold that car few years ago because I working from home 100% and had other cars to drive so the M5 was just collecting dust. Actually now I wish I had kept it since they have gone up in value. But ever since I sold it I would get this constant urge to get another //M and finally decided to buy one since I don't work from home anymore and want to enjoy this car daily (or at least non-rain or snow days)

AirBull Thank you for the tips. I was actually wondering how and where I can get the 2019 maps from. Do you know? When I had my e46 M3, a fellow forum member made me a DVD of maps so it didn't cost except for the DVD to get the new maps. Also I will look into the Gentleman function as I never heard of it before Any yessss that brake dust....

You can either pay the Stealership for the Map update or pay an e-bay seller for the 2019-2 Maps & the FSC Code....I think it costs about 15 or 20usd.
I did it and it worked like a charm. You get the map files

You can also generate your own FSC Code, by downloading ESYS, and going through a process that way.

just bought from this same seller. I had the fsc code from last year so updates (2 per year) are only $10.

Sweet!! Would love to see how it looks with all the mods. I haven't heard of OFT Stage 1. How much gain did you get out of it?

Thank you so much for sharing and pardon my ignorance but what is FSC code? I Google'd it but could not find any definition of exactly what it is.

Not bad. My car is averaging around 12mpg and I'm not even driving hard...all settings are down to comfort. With the tune I assume the avg. is even lower?

I tried to get the FSC generator to work, but I ended up just paying for the lifetime FSC code and installed the 2019-1 maps. I just found the 2019-2 maps and installed them, and sure enough, did not have to enter an FSC code. I put the link to those maps in the Nav forum.

Allows you to adjust the pass. seat w/ driver seat controls. I plan to do this soon as well.
