English Mutha Fuckaaa's-I went Bentley Style GT3R (Pics Inside) ***More Pics Pg 2

Well the FF had its bday and I sold it for a reasonable price. It was basically my daily driver but I got bored of it. I needed another daily style GT cruiser with some good luxury inside so I had been testing out the Bentley GT3R. I found it rather right for MY needs at the time and the price I got was incredible so I pulled the proverbial trigger. I already have the super car with the Huracan and a great cross blend of a GT and sports car with the GTS and will be getting a new R8 soon so this was what I needed. That car thas has daily in it yet with some wildness too.

Yes it weighs about 5k lbs but it feels and drives much better. Its got AWD and closer gear ratios than its cousin the GT Speed so it pulls strong dig romps to 60 (around 3.4 seconds) and still traps well in the quarter. C&D has it at 122 mph in the quarter but I think its closer to 120.xx. Either way its just right as my next car and once I tune it things will occur even more rapidly. While it may drive better than its 5k lb weight it still is a fatty but on the highways and toll roads it really moves. I found myself getting to 130 plus mph very quickly and the ZF8 tranny is the best tq converting tranny IMHO out there.

The car itself is loaded with carbon fiber: rear diffuser, rear wing, side skirts, side mirrors, bonnet vents, front lip, carbon engine cover, and the entire interior is loaded with leather, alcantara, and carbon fiber. Its a cool fun car. The exhaust is Akrapovic for Bentley and really has a great note along with those barks and pops during over runs. The front discs are 16.5 inches but still look small against the 21 inch OEM wheels.

Ill post some cell pics now and then will add more pics once I put nicer set of wheels on it. I like this set but I think a forged 22 inch variant might do the car better. My apologies for the lighting but it was an impromptu shot just now with the Samsung.

And Motortrend Vid

No, its a different engine (4.0 TFSI vs a V12) but the Akra makes it sound very strong- more along the lines of my AMG GTS. The v12 symphony will be missed for sure.

Wow, that is a beauty. I bet it feels solid like a tank (albeit a very fast tank) when you drive that thing down the road.
When I grow up I want to be like you Vic. Need to work harder and much smarter to afford these sorts of toys!
CONGRATS and enjoy in good health as they say.
Peace.

How's the transmission in that rig, say versus M5 DCT?

Thanks brother---

The DCT in general is better than an traditional tq converting tranny. Its more efficient and shifts faster. With that being the said I have had 2 other ZF8 trannys and had zero issues with them- they shift fast (The Bentley is no different than my RS7 or Jag) and can handle gobs of tq (more than a DCT) so tuning is not an issue here. The electronics play a large role too aka the TCU and this car, so far, keeps me in gear longer and downshifts as I need it also. I would always want a DCT if possible but if I had to take a traditional it would be the ZF8 all day.

Vic you know I'm a fan of your others car. You know this.

However, I don't get this car. Heavy car that was built for what exactly?

For me-

Until I grow weary of its luxury, looks and sound. Its definitely not for the masses or even a few but it fit what I wanted in a car right now to replace the FF. I wanted something different and it definitely fits that bill.

Considering your previous cars, I'd never thought you'd be the big-body, British GT car type... but I guess it came to you at the right price and right time. Congrats!

Thanks guys for all the comments, not every one's cup of tea (no pun) but it sure tastes good Lets see how long I keep this one LOL. It sure is a big body but I think its 187 inches long vs my FF which was 194. So its shorter and fatter just like my ex wives

Mate, indeed its off but not because of this car but moreso because of the intel on the 991.2 TT-S. I was first thinking Ill just steal a 991.1 for cheaper but then asked myself who was I fooling and that I would just want the most recent iteration.
