Tasteful colour selection, one of the best individual colours in my opinion. Enjoy!

Thanks Beast! I appreciate the compliment. I am really proud of the car. I am doing an OpenFlash tune on it next. I think the M5 is the ultimate sleeper car.

Thanks JW_ATL ... the unique interior / exterior color combination along with the CCB's and less than 9,000 miles makes it pretty much one of a kind.

Did the previous owner change out the trim. It says on the window sticker it was Piano black trim.

Great color combo and features, I would want to tie in the carbon fiber from the steering wheel, maybe add some carbon fiber bits around the car?

Beautiful car and it's a very unique trim package! Just curious, what's the build date on the car? I noticed the car has the touch NBT controller and my '14 M6 with an early 2014 build date had the non-touch controller.

I have the same steering wheel on my car btw. It's overkill for the car, but it's very cool and a conversation starter at events! Beige is definitely not for everyone! I think BMW got rid of it in 2015 or 2016 for the M5/6. I also have the same beige interior along with beige trimmed floor mats and the M6s were typically optioned with contrasting headliner that matches your leather:

Headliner (not my car):

This is the controller I have, should mine have the touch function? 11/2013 build date. I tried drawing letters when I was renaming my folders and it didn't do anything.

I changed out the interior trim after I bought the car. I really like the natural wood look of the current trim. Plus it is rarely seen in an M5.

The build date was 8/7/13. I am not sure about the difference in controllers during the model year?

I love that headliner in the M6!!

Build date 11/13 is a M5 LCI model, so the touch controller should work. Did you try to select a name of the phone list by writing the first two letters on the touch surface? Or entering an address in the navigation system? Either way, it's an option available for build dates after July 2013. The M6 Facelift however started way later, model year 2015. Therefore you will find MY14 M6 without touch controller and MY14 M5 with touch function. It's strange, but there are different facelift cycles for each model line.

Yes I tried the phone list but it didn't work. However I was messing with the navigation, went into "Interactive map", and was able to move around using touch. I wonder if my car needs an overall software update, do you think that could make a difference?

Based on my experience and this video, it should work with different iDrive features:

A software update might help, the touch interface could also be defective. I would try the update first, then possibly replace the controller.

I just don't see a practical use for the touch feature of my iDrive. It's so much easier to just use the damn dial...

I feel like scrolling and zooming the map is more intuitive with the touch.

Correct, 2015 M6s received the touch. It's odd why 2014 M5s received it first. Heck this M5 was built 5 months before my car.

You can, just touch work without software update and coding. Not worth the cost IMO. If you're going to spend the money on iDrive update, might as well go all the way with NBT Evo, larger screen and UI

You can, it's easy if you have NBT, available build date 09/2012 or later. If you don't need the touch function, it's just a swap. If you want the touch feature, you need additional wiring and the module, plus coding. But it can be done, I already performed this upgrade myself, full functionality!

Easy job, takes 5 minutes. My M5 was a pre-LCI, but with NBT. And I installed the ceramic touch controller 👍🏻
