This really doesn't make me feel better if they aren't responding to other platforms (especially ones more common than the F10 M5) and we hear nothing. This 2.0 tune is not up to par and clearly wasn't thoroughly tested. I don't like being a guinea pig and that is what I feel we have been on this version. I will be asking to for my stock tune back and will most likely move on from OF to BM. It is disturbing that they haven't chimed in here.

Yeah I have BM3 also and on the free torque reduction map. I was considering switching to Openflash and putting my cats back on, but glad i didn't. Guess 650+whp on factory cats was too much to ask out of the S63

Sales experience has not been good for me. Seems they posted about motorcycle dyno runs on their blog while having my questions go unanswered in the queue.
Since I have already ordered an OFT I will try and exercise some patience. My car isn't driveable as it's being serviced. But once I'm ready to request a flash my patience will run out if I go on without a response. They should jump in this thread and come clean on whatever is going on. Just make it right. |

I've been running the 93 octane v2 tune on my FBO m6 since it came out with zero problems. I've run every iteration of the tunes (v1.1, v1.2, and v2) and v2 is definitely my favorite. Definitely the most linear and usable map out of the 3. OFT has also been very good at getting back to me and answering questions in a reasonable amount of time. Just wanted to give my feedback considering this thread has been flooded with mostly negative comments.

Honestly even if they tried to remedy the situation today, the damage is done - nobody is going to move to openflash after the last few months. It's a shame they dropped the ball on all of their paying customers after enticing them to come on board. Bait and switch.

Need Help!
I've been trying to get an answer from Shiv and Anthony for a week now as their tune has left my M5 useless in my garage. Last Tuesday I tried to flash back to stock and got an error at the end of the writing. "An error occurred while writing to the ECU, Please check cable connections and try again". Anyone have ideas for a fix? I get this error everytime I start the process now. So frustrating! |

Our Engineers are actively working on your issue, Dave. I'm working to get you a resolution as quickly as possible - but the work is tedious and I can't rush them.
What's interesting is that your OFT had this issue once before that was resolved - I'm not sure I understand how it has happened again. We do have a OFT firmware update rolling out globally this week, too, that is a step toward ensuring these opportunities won't occur where preventable. The tune file isn't the cause of any writing issue. This is related to the car in some fashion. It is unique to your car only - but we'll get to the bottom of it. ~Anthony Last edited by OpenFlash; 05-02-2019 at 11:50 AM.. |

We've given our cars out to several magazines and professional drivers to get independent testing completed by 3rd parties. ... just a lot. We've been out of the office and away from home/family for almost a month straight. |

Well as you can imagine and hopefully read, everyone on the forum including myself have been going absolutely insane due to the "being out of office and away from home/family for almost a month straight." Unfortunately in order to respond to the criticism it might take you another month away from the family to clean this crap up. Are you up for that? If so, stay online. If not, go back into exile. At the end of the day, you've proven to have a solid product that many of us enjoy. I think the main question you'll need to immediately answer will be to explain what's going on with V2 and drivetrain malfunctions. Additionally, can you elaborate to forum members who did a little research and found that this sort of "come out strong with incredible customer support only to go "ghost" when a new version isn't well received" shenanigans is the M.O for OFT. Would like to know if you're in it for the long haul or the quick hit and move. Your answer may or may get OFT back on the good graciousness of many forum members but as I see it, there's nothing to lose. |
