Issue with BMS Tune after install

Installed stage 1 tune (from a forum member) on Sunday and ran into a CEL. Carly says it's "102A01. Fault Explanation: Air mass meter, signal: electrical fault."

Oddly, it didn't throw the code right away, only after restarting after initial drive. I cleared the code (and like 100+ others) at lunch today but when I started car for drive home, CEL was back and the code (and 38 others) had returned.

Any ideas?

Sorry, I'm not much help but I do know that the MAF's in these cars do go bad pretty regularly.

Nope that's not it. Car running well, the tune is working. Tonight I noticed a new code. Same issue, other side.

Maybe the air flow sensors are loose, or faulty..

I've seen them go bad sometimes

You shouldn't be getting tons of codes just randomly. Sounds like a DME connection isn't seated right. Did you do any work in that area recently?

Sunday was my first time even checking the codes as I purchased the car last fall and did not have a code reader. I assume they were from the original owner's tenure. When I ran codes again this AM, I am only getting the two that I mentioned.

Further, all I did was to disconnect the battery, remove airboxes, make my connections for the tune (on the side of each intercooler) and put everything back together in reverse order. The plugs were all snapped into place and locked, so it isn't connection issue.

Also, car is running great, no power loss or limp mode. Just the codes and CEL.

Thank you!

You need new MAF. Idk why but this car the MAF is made from garbage. It can go bad just by looking at them wrong lol.

I'd replace both. They were gonna go soon anyway if that's any consolation.

Just change both now because it was gonna happen eventually anyways
Thanks for this advice. Assuming you mean MAF sensors, right? Any suggestions on where to purchase and which ones have proven to be the most reliable?

I'm having a similar issue. I have both the BMS stage 1 tune as well as the BMS intakes. For me though, the air intakes are causing a CEL to stay on and i'm getting the same error code about the air mass flow sensor (too much air flow). If i put the stock air intake back, the CEL goes away. Do i need to clean the MAF sensor or replace them? Anyone else having the same setup issue?

Thanks! I contacted Mike and he advised me to clean the MAF and re-install them. I did that with MAF cleaner then drove the car for about 20 miles but the CEL is still on. Does anyone else have any recommendations?

Oiled Air Filters will cause MAF codes as well.

I still am having the same issue! CEL is still on but no problems driving the car. I too am kind of stuck in the same situation. If i clear the code, obviously CEL goes away but comes back on a couple days later. Sometimes the code will dissapear on its own then come back so every time the car restarts the ECU is checking all components and sometimes it catches something and sometimes it doesn't. Wish i could be of more help.
