So I got a recall letter for my Toyota that it claims isn't safety related just a quality issue. However there are stories on YouTube about how this is a safety issue as it causes a reflection from the dash and would explain why they are doing this. My car doesn't have this issue.

I'm sure it's because of the high humidity mixed with the heat. That humidity f*cks everything up. I've never heard of this on the west coast.

lol my smart car had a tacky dashboard once it got hot. after having it for a few years, the dash looked like it needed a shave from all the dust/hair/etc.. i also never cleaned the thing, so somewhat my fault.

google fx35 dash herpes

took one of these on trade about a year ago, this really screws over the desire for resale and Nissan did little to support customers.

I'd be concerned about any chemicals off gassing from the dash. Curious as to if anyone has collected an air sample over the affected dash to see what you're breathing in.

Lexus IS for my parents. Lexus did nothing from a warranty standpoint. Almost feels like a tape adhesive.
