Just trying to save couple of bucks and keep the mileage down, put 25K in the first year and was doing between 80-120 miles a day on it! she is nice, only if I can find few hours to take out for the wash |

Mod update:
Nothing too crazy this time. Over the weekend installed the mperformance trunk spoiler. I used betalink instead of 3m tape. My reasons were 3fold: 1. Do not want it stolen 2. I want it to sit flush 3. By making it permanent I would not want to change it out later due to boredom. As you guys know betalink is a mess. The betaclean however is awesome! You really can get messy as long as you have the betaclean. Only advice I can really give is do not be afraid to go nuts with the betalink. My first go I used to little and had to redo it all the next day. My other tip is to relax. You do not need to rush the install. You have 15 minutes to get the spoiler positioned, but have ample time to clean everything up after. Seriously with the betaclean I was cleaning stuff off up to an hour past install. It really is that good. My third tip is use tape to fold over the spoiler after test fitting. That way you just fold the spoiler back over to install ensuring you lined it up well. Pic wise not too many as the install is 'on' as soon as you rip open the betalink. This is how I removed the stock spoiler. Painters tape and a bondo spreader. All clean ready to install: Tape job: Finished product: The flushness: That's it for now. Have the correct led reverse bulbs now, but waiting on the mycarly adapter so I can code out the bulb warning. If all goes well I will have the wheels on the car this Saturday too. Until next time! |

[QUOTE=m5 guy;21195536]Thank you sir! Went Michelin super sports in a 285/305. Could have played it safe and gone Pirelli in 275/305, but what's the fun in that? Still working on dialing everything in right now. The goal with this build has been to combine show and performance in a clean oem ++ package. These tires and sizes are instrumental in that regards.
Looks great!

A minor update here. Installed the center caps and raised the rear two revolutions on the coilovers. Next up is getting the camber arms installed and then a final alignment.

Nothing major to report here, but wanted to add more bad pics of the beast. The camber arms have been fitted and the rear raised two revolutions. Why only two you may ask? Well it was to offset the additional height in the front from the slightly bigger rolling diameter. As a added bonus the side profile has a better look to it now that the rear arches are not so low. No longer has that junk in the trunk look that can be common when lowered if keeping the oem rake.
Alignment is this Saturday and then will be scheduling a photo shoot. For settings I'm open to suggestions if anyone has any. I'm looking for a turning based alignment here. Right now I'm going to go with the following: Front: Camber- whatever it is since static. With the arms I should be in the -2 range. Toe - Going for .01 in on each side instead of 0. This is to accept that the car will be a highway missile as well as a boat carver on roads way to small for it. Rear: Camber - This is the one I'm not to sure on yet. Was thinking of max oem specs, somewhere around -2 to -2.5 range. Definitely open to suggestions on this. Toe - plan on using Dinan's specs for this .10 in on each side or .20 total Any comments are appreciated. 3 bad pics. This is from the first drive after the above stuff.
