Dont change - you will regret it.... like I did/do. Power is not everything.....

I will soon be back in an F10, thought I would wait a few years with the GTR - but really cant be arsed with ownership of the GTR, as its much harder to sell - so I got a nice deal on a 2012 Singapore car - which I would be foolish not to pass up.

So moral of story - grass is not greener.

I still owe on the car. Unfortunately with the trade I’d be too upside down. Plus if I did sell my parts not sure who’d buy a stock one for around 28k.

AWD is important to me so the F90 m5 seems to be the most desired choice. I just don’t see myself doing $1200 lease payments. I may do a m3cs lease then go to a f90 m5
If AWD is a priority, then yea, I think the F90 is where you need to be. The looks are subjective of course and although I love the F10 M5, I could easily get used the F90 .

Yeah, I wish could get a GT-R again as it's in my price range, but I need the 4 doors and AWD is my thing especially where I live. So I am leaning towards the F90. It's just man $1200 lease payments.

I may play with the F80 M3 lease or if not just keep my car until I can afford the F90.

Keep the F10, I promise you - you will regret it. The M3 is still an F30 interior i.e. semi basic, not a patch on the F10 M5's. Wait till you can get an F90 is my advice.

Being from the PNW as well.. I think an Audi S6 or S7 is what I would get if I was you. They have depreciated.. amazing cars with mods (as you already know). I have a manual M5.. so I don't see the upgrade as an option for me because I like rowing the gears. But the Audi's are so refined and the power is undeniable in those things.

I don't know if you will like downsizing into an M3 or RS3 for that matter.. if your used to the size of an M5.. its a pretty drastic difference not in terms of size but just road manners, road noise etc...

Good luck!

If your looking for something similar in power and similar price range i would snag a 2012-2013 E63 AMG with PP package. Ive had several mercedes including the C63 AMG and all were a more reliable car than my current M5 but my M5 would rip up my C63 performance wise...jsut depends what you want. Maybe a 2014 M5 with comp pack? I prefer to have AWD living in Denver but i walk to work and my girlfriend has a snow car so im able to own anything RWD year round without it being too big of a deal..

Glad you've came back to the fold. I don't ever see giving up my M5 in the near future

Hey. Nice to hear from a local member. Yeah I think I might keep it till I can afford the F90. Living in the PNW, I really want AWD. It’s kind of hard to go back to Audi. If I did, it would be an RS3.

Thanks. I’m leaning that way.

Not sure if I’m ready for the Benz brand. If I keep the M5 I’ll update the lights as I’m really happy how else I’ve modded it. Maybe even change to an LCI steering wheel and wrap it nardo Gray.

I just worry with everyone posting they are blowing up their engines. But it seems as if the majority of these cases is because lack of maintenance or new owner not knowing what their getting into. My mechanic and personally the feel of the car seems like it will hold up. It’s been pretty great to me for the last 3 years of ownership.

Well are you tuned and heavily modded? I blew mine up literally 30 miles into ownership. Guy before me had it heavily tuned and i bought it without being inspected, hard lesson. I personally think they are not the most reliable cars but also strongly think its a luck thing. Some 2013 are solid and some (like mine) are problematic. If mine causes anymore issues im trading it straight for a E63 with PP and carbon ceramics

Yeah I’m a stage 2 now for almost 20k miles. I bought it with 53k miles stock and I’m at 89k miles. When I went to stage 2, I got a DTM but after I changed the plugs and gapped them, I haven’t had any issues.

I’ll randomly get a DTM but after I turn off and turn on the car now issues. I pulled codes and it’s nothing. Since I’ve owned it, I changed oil every 5k miles and always warm her up before getting on it.

Was the M5 covered under warranty?

Thanks, very nice of you to say.
I think I have mixed feelings of utter impatience in signing the new deal and possibly even more excitement than my previous M5.
