2013 M5 Great Price but Accident - Stay Away?

Hey Guys-

I just saw this M5 pop up with the specs I am looking for and a seemingly great price for the miles. Issue is the carfax shows an accident where there seems to have been significant damage but not enough to deploy airbags. Is it worth taking a chance on it with a PPI or should I steer clear and continue my hunt? The link to the car is below:

IMO, Steer clear. Play it out. If you buy this car it becomes a 4-owner, 1-accident vehicle. Your options for resell, should you need or want to, become increasing limited. If for some unfortunate circumstance you should have / be involved in an accident then it becomes a 2-accident vehicle. Also, given the number of owners; especially starting as a fleet vehicle, you don't know how much of a beating was put on the engine and drive train components. My take, keep hunting.

Honestly, I wouldn't worry about it that much if no airbags. It probably got a new bumper cover. Inspect the area and assure they used a quality shop.

I agree with the others, the accident shouldn't deter the sale. If anything, you should avoid it because it's a 2013.

Decided that I am leaning towards a little more piece of mind and finding a 2014 with lower owners and no accident, found a 14 with 54k miles but one owner who had the platinum package and just got timjng chain cover leak, turbo lines and plugs and coils done. It's priced at $38k which feels good but lower spec package.

OP, that car has been on my radar for several weeks. I called today to get details. The car is on consignment for a client.

No maintenance records are available and a PPI was recommended by the sale person. I'm not overly concerned about the accident if proper repairs were made.

My issue is owning to vehicles with the s63 motor and selling my M5 e39 for a M5 F10. It seems the e39 M5 values are rising and I own a low production color combo (Royal Red / Caramel). I rarely drive it.

I already own a fast SAV (X5M, E70) with tech and plenty of options. I F10 M5 is a beautiful car, and Sahkir Orange is a striking color.

I do all of my own maintenance to control cost. The F10 M5 wouldn't be a DD as I will balance driving with my M3 E46.

I'm evaluating the F10 M5 to determine if I should take the next step.
