How can i release my stuck malfunctioned parking brake?

It malfunctioned and now i can't release it. Help

Under the cupholder there is a release I believe, lift the flap at the bottom of the holder

It should be in the manual

I saw that but i think that's for the dct to bring out of park while no battery power. I need to disengage the rear parking brakes. My car is stuck at work. Ugh

You could try putting on your seat belt and setting it to drive. That's another way it'll disengage.

I didn't do the seat belt but def had in drive and reverse and applied throttle to both. The parking brake is malfunctioning and will not disengage.

Was hoping for an easier method, but looks like I'l be under the car in the morning. Trying to avoid a tow at all costs lol
