So has anyone loaded the Stage 1 map with the flat torque levels yet?

What's it like?

We really didnt go anywhere. But we took a break from the forums to develop product for many different vehicles. Now that the OBD2 Read/write protocol for the F series BMWs is ready, it was just a matter of time before we jumped back in the mix.

Got my tune late Friday night, and didn’t really had a chance to test it out until today. I’ve been running flat torque tune and I’m throughly impressed. Despite running on dirty 91 octane the car pulls quite nicely.

Just placed my order! Thanks to Shiv for answering all my questions in our pm, I'm sure I'll have some more soon lol. I also just got a dragy (similar to vbox, it's measures all kinds of performance data) so I plan on doing some 60-130 times to compare with stock tune, ots stg 1 and eventually comparisons with ots stg 2 tune w/ catless dp's. As of right now I do not plan on dynoing it though but I can't wait to get it!

Currently developing a higher power Stg1 tune for the F10 M5/6 right now. This was from yesterday's dyno session:

93oct
Stock M5 Competition
Cat-back exhaust
Stock baseline at 520whp on this same dyno/same day

Yes, 125whp gains with just an ECU flash

I just flashed the version 1 stage 1 tune. This thing is a whole new animal. Tons of torque, buttery smooth and a crazy top end. I need better tires now.

For anyone on the fence, this is the real deal. Shiv and his folks offer fantastic customer service.

What are you thoughts about the gearbox and the supposed max torque limit of 700Nm

Will there be a higher power ots map like for 91oct or is it not necessarily safe on only 91?

Once I get my openflash tablet I plan on running the 91oct ots stg 1 low torque "safe" map for DD duties but then flash to the higher power map for some spirited driving.

I was thinking the same thing. I only want an intake and a Tune so this is sounding perfect!

If I order today, Can I get it shipped soon to AZ? Had the M5 for 3 weeks, starting to feel like more power is needed.

Ideally I'd like to just run one map with the ability to throw in a little E85 when I have it if the tables have enough room to adapt similar to the bm3 tunes.
The OFT does a OBDII port-flash. When you install our tune files the map will 'essentially' unlock the capability (because it has to ). When you flash back to stock, it is as though the ECU has never been modified/reprogrammed.

Many many! Hopefully someone will post a comprehensive review soon. We've actually completed some Stage 1 (v1.1) tuning a few days ago (for 93 octane), and sent out a map to another user. Hopefully they'll chime in soon.

Each vehicle you care to have reprogrammed will need to have its own OFT. The OFT reads and retains ECU info/security information until it is un-installed (and erased) preparing it for installation onto a new vehicle. ---- We don't sell licenses --- thats just silly.

However, even when installed on one car, the OFT can be used as a tool for DTC checking, and datalogging on any other car (either using enhanced logging, or OBDII Generic logging)

People want more details! You've had some great drive time with the tune, let everyone know your thoughts!

We certainly found a need for high quality fuel with the M5! We've noticed that with straight CA 91 octane vs. 93 octane the engine responds quite differently. On the dyno we've witnessed as much as 22HP difference between the two fuel types alone. The difference comes from an alternative timing control strategy, and boost (load) target. 91 fuel is ver unforgiving.

We're actually on the dyno developing right this second (5:59PM 8/22/18) and will have more insights and data to share about our findings soon!

We should have your hardware out of the warehouse soon!

+++++======+++++++======++++++=

Thank you for all the support and feedback! We're looking to release additional feature-set soon -- Gauge Hi-Jacking (displaying boost/afr/timing via OEM dash gauges [such as fuel or temp]), Exhaust Flap Control, etc. ... It's going to be good!

Quick 1000 mile review

- flashing process was very easy, use a charger for the first flash, it takes a while and will just reduce your anxiety
- there is an incredible immediate power gain that you can feel from 2k rpm all the way to redline
-the power delivery is incredibly smooth. There are no rough spots or jerky power delivery
- off throttle and part throttle driving is as refined as oem
- the car can break traction through 3rd gear
- I honestly haven't had much worse fuel economy. I averaged 15 before and 14.5 after so far.
- no change to spark plugs, just had fresh stock plugs 6k miles ago
- no check engine lights or other issues since tuning

Looking forward to more iterations of the tune. Burbles, flap control etc.
