Hi all

Need to change my plugs, not sure whether to go oem Bosch zmr5tpp330 or go for a colder plug like the ngk 97506

What are you thoughts?

Thanks in advance

Depends on whether you're tuned or stock. I had stock plugs with a stage 1 and then switched to colder with stage 2

I’m stock as far as I know - brought the car used. Should I stick with oem at preset gap?

Many thanks.

Previous owner said he replaced them but no proof so thought I’d do them for the sake of £100

2015 BMW M5  [0.00]
Bosch told me they are superseding the 8179 double platinum spark plug in our F10 M5 for the 8165 that goes in the new F90 M5 (ZR5TPP320,) but the Bosch website is still showing the 8179. Basically just goes from an 8mm diameter center electrode to a 6mm diameter center electrode.

I'm still not certain and would like to know if there is a better Iridium tipped (NGK) spark plug available for stock applications? NGK says the Laser Iridium SILZKBR8D8S is a direct replacement, can anyone confirm? 8 heat range (Bosch says the 8179 is a manufacturer 5 heat range.)

Just replaced the spark plugs on Merc CLK 200k with double platinum bosch ones at 48k.I chose these as on sell site they say Iridium plugs should be changed at 30k so can't do a big mileage on them and on an M5 they are a pain to get to so when M5 plugs are due I'll go for the DP's also.

These are it. You might find better pricing if you shop around.

Just leave them at preset gap if you're stock. Obviously check them when you're fitting to make sure they all look equal, sometimes the gaps can be closed up accidentally when packing.
