Quick question,
I wired my exhaust valves open yesterday and today after driving switching it off and then back on again I got a drive train message.

can wiring the flaps open cause this?

It's unlikely for just the exhaust flaps, you best purchase an OBD11 reader and get the codes on. If it's cleared by now then it may have been a glitch but it's worth finding out why it came on anyway.

Happened whilst I was at BMW.

Sounds like a glitch as it disappeared and not showed up again.

Fingers crossed.

It may be a one off but getting the codes read for piece of mind would be worthwhile

I cant see wiring the flaps open would cause this

I find if the flaps are always open you do get drone at certain speeds which is why the Exhaustmeister is a better solution.

I know a fellow M owner who is selling one for 50 so PM me if interested. A lot better than wire

I would wager it's a hiccup from the plug change,it's been known to happen but if everything is clipped into place securely it shouldn't come up again.
