Reply Hey guys, video C63 car owner here. Thanks Sticky for frontpaging the video. Believe me, both the M5 owner and myself were very surprised by the outcome. So much so, that we must have raced 5 times before the day was over. Every time, same result, almost dead even all the way to the finish line. The M5 owner was really cool, and I'm sure once he gets tuned it will be a very different story. Should note that I also raced another gray F10 M5 at the event with exhaust (another very cool guy), and although he beat me by about 2 cars, it was only because he jumped me at the start. By the end of the race I had stopped the pull. Had the start been even, it would have been a VERY close race, likely very similar to what you see here against the white M5. If any other F10 M5's want a piece of me, I'll be at the next airstrip event in April with longtubes and a tune. ------------------- See that post from benzboost website. It is also on mbworld. Dont know what the confusion is. It is a brand new 2013 c63 with P31 package. |

I am not the OWNER of the c63 or have any affiliations with either party or website. Just happened to be on both forums and saw these posts.
To my understanding it is C63 with P31 package = 481HP (AMG rates it at that number FACTORY). |

I think if someone does tune and downpipes and race him at the next event it should be interesting. I know those C63s respond well to tune and headers, so the turbo advantage isn't that radical.

Just doesn't make sense
I've seen stock p31 only throw down between 390-411whp and 350-365wtq. Yes the c63 is lighter but.... Curious what speed you guys rolled from and what gear the m5 was in ? |

I think as time goes on it will make more sense. More events and races will follow. Starting to think the weight of the M5 hurts a little and the power ratings were a bit over blown. Stock M5's took some other loses that day.

Hey Niko, you going out to the SS airstrip event in April? Although I don't have my E63 anymore, seems like we need to match up so you can avenge the M5 crowd against my C63.
Hoping to see you out there!

Darn, bad timing on the next airstrip event. Myself and a number of other SoCal M5 owners will be at ///M School that date.

I will be there...maybe I should bring my c63 instead
I'm still curious to know what speed and gear the M5 was in and what settings. Maybe cpiguy (arnie) can answer from his run? Last airstrip event my typical setup for a 40mph roll was: 2nd gear, S3, sport plus and MDM. Perfect settings for racing on a roll. I held my own until Eric's Tuned E63 put the hurt on me. Haha rematch with c63 this time love it!!!! |

It should be noted that I ran this white M5 multiple times at the event, with same dead heat outcome each time. I also ran cpiguy's f10 m5 with exhaust at the event and similar outcome..very close race.

I've raced my 09 c63 with a tune and my M5 beats it from a roll at least two+ car lengths to about 120mph. Tested multiple times. I've also raced a stock p31 with my c63 and pretty close. Half a car length behind or so. Maybe the newer c63 are faster ??

Hi guys:
I'm the owner of the Singapore Gray M5, and Eirc and I had a great race. You see, when you get to my age, you need to cheat just a little, so yes, I jumped him. His car is really, really fast, but I don't care cause I WON
