F10 M5 AFE Power Magnum Force Stage 2 Pro 5r CEL

Hello, posting this for a friend running AFE Power Magnum Force Stage 2 Pro 5r which keeps throwing a intermittent CEL. Second time throwing the intakes back on and it is once again throwing a CEL for 102002 Air Mass too Low or sometimes Too High. When stock intakes are put back on it goes away. Car is also running Bootmod stage 2 91 and DP's. Car is well maintained no misfires or malfunctions. Heard that it may take some time for the MAF to relearn? Or maybe MAF dirty due to the pre-oiled Pro 5R media filters, maybe should switch it out to PRO Dry S filters? Also saw somewhere that it's possible to install the MAF sensors backwards? Trying to think of every scenario that could be leading to this. It's not like these are cheap intakes either, great heatshields and AFE is a reputable brand. Any input is greatly appreciated from other owners with intakes!

No updates looks like really no fix, some M5's like them some don't and trigger a CEL

You gotta be careful if your filters are oiled as they tend to soil the MAF sensors, so what you need to do is make sure your filters are dry and the MAF clean and then run the diagnostics again.

These kits come in 2 versions one with oiled filters and another with dry filters. The best thing to do imo is to do dry filters because the MAF sensor is very sensitive to dirt, debris, you name it.

hope that makes sense
