F10 2015 M5 60-130 Review

Just wanted a sanity check before start digging into this. Just got car back from shop which is a whole other story.

Mods:
Pure Stage 1
Gama catless DP
Gama intakes
Akra. Full system
Meth kit
SPP x clutch

I would have expected to be in the high 6s atleast . Supposedly car dynoed at 680whp and rough same torque which even then I thought was low but but said wanted to keep it conservative until for break-in period and then would but to max 700 because stock externals.

Yeah, that looks well below what I’d expect with those mods. Obviously DA, fuel quality, wind direction etc play a role, but even assuming none of these to be optimal, I’d expect noticeably better

Only dragy runs I've done was when I was running DPs on the stock tune and my 100-200 km/h times were mid 7s so based on those times, your 60 - 120 mph looks way off for the mods you have. Probably a good idea for you to compare with other 60 -130 times posted on dragy for M5s running similar mods to yours, but I have little doubt your number will come up shy

Could also just switch draghy to metric and it should have a 100-200kph version. There's definitely more of those posted around. There's a thread on here with quite a few posted times.

Yes, didn’t notice the incline. Definitely test on a level stretch before chasing what may be ghosts

Your run measured a 60-120, not 60-130.

As for you, OP, your numbers should definitely better. What gear/mph are you starting in? Personally, I start in 3rd around 50mph and only shift once before reaching 130. That's given me my best numbers and I've logged about 80 60-130 pulls.

For reference, my f06 m6 comp ran 8.81 when it was stock.

Also, what tuner did you go with?

I'm currently only getting ~9.6 for my 60-130 time on my stock 15' comp M5 DCT. Unfortunately, I only have access to 91 octane currently.

My 6 year old MPSS still spin if I punch it at 60mph so that might also be part of my issue.

FYI 1/4 mile is 12.16@121 on the street with vbox, so I'm thinking new tires are on order soon. Maybe some boostane.

Yeah, definitely don't start in 4th for a 60-130 pull . Ideally, you'd start in 3rd and shift once into 4th mid pull. It takes a lot of practice to find the sweet spot for your car, though. With your set up (assuming everything's running as it should) you should definitely be in the high 6's. I'm mid 7's in ideal conditions, but 7.7/7.8 on higher DA days. That was on my stage 2 set up. I've yet to try it with my new mods.

What's your DA on those runs? Fuel also plays a big part. I ran boostane constantly on my previous m6gc for 2 straight years with zero issues. I would take it from pump 93 to 96-98. Made a difference. And yes, you need tires lol I had MPSS prior to the 4S's and its a huge difference. Let alone a older set of MPSS.

DA is pretty good, cool fall days so likely around +300.

Will definitely run Boostane next season. I'm probably going to run re71r's. I really liked them on the f80 , and treadlife doesn't bother me with the little mileage I put on.
